My pedant alert went off when reading this story yesterday:

It's even relevant to this forum. Spot the obvious mistake first:

Now I didn't major in mathematics at uni but by my calculations tripling (or trippling in this case) means a 200% gain - doubling is a 100% gain. Maybe trippling means something else.

Saw this 'historic' sign near Queenstown, NZ. It wasn't all that steep though. You'd think some vehicle could have done it.
 
Saw this in the SMH today:

I did a double take too.
 
Not grammar per se, rather an example of mispronunciation (sp?) from a project manager I'm currently dealing with:

"I pacifically aRKsked if it should be on the sKedule"

On reflection, if I were a barman it wouldn't be 100% clear if "2 gins with tonic" was a double or two singles. Off-topic but have noticed EK struggle to make a decent G&T-not sure why
