I'm definitely not Y either and I've always seen bubbler as the americanism.

Can't ever remember "Drinking Fountains" in my upbringing in Sydney and Hobart - my only memory is of "bubblers". Not sure about the pejorative use of "NRL" in someone else's posts, can't we just agree it is a regional difference like the football codes rather than attribute usage to the presence of of those codes?

I'm struggling to remember what i called them. Maybe fountains. Or maybe at school drinking troughs. Being from queensland there were whole banks of them at school.
The NRL thing isn't really about NRL. Pretty sure that's a reference to some NRL player (Tod Carney?) who was pictured in a compromising situation trying to consume his own waste emissions direct from the source. Normally, I just put such NRL comments down to jealousy due to NRL being played in a number of countries rather than half of one country.

Saw this at a factory in Melbourne - I saw at least three of them. I had to think about what it was saying for a bit then realised maybe the boss was a Kiwi and dictated what he wanted on the sign.

Couple of signs seen this past week:

1 in Double Bay restaurant restroom

2 in men's change room at Westin Sydney gym

Email this morning from LATAM, the merged LAN TAM group announcing the new website etc. Interesting to see the non-standard use of "Aircrafts" in the announcement.
