That's good, yes. At least another 12 months. Then another 12 months will come after that from what I understand.

I chatted with an agent online. The agent confirmed that my diamond status has been extended to 31/3/2021, and the reward night is also available. I only hit just over $12k for the year.

I just got the email extending my Diamond through until March 2020 yet I've never put more than a couple of grand through the card in any one year. Yet I've been Diamond for two years now extending to three... with hardly any Hilton stays.

Got the Diamond email here too. I did put through $40K in the year to Nov 2018 to ensure I have diamond.

Well, it looks like the vast majority spent the $40K (I believe I did).

The minority who didn't meet the $40K limit, well consider oneself lucky, as you should have dropped to Gold. But often two independent systems don't work together well (either Macquarie not sending through the correct info, or Hilton not having their systems correct when looking at the threshold).

Now we wait until 1 May, when the auto-extension by Hilton SHOULD take us through until 2021, as stated in their emails to us. Maybe they have done it early?

I must ring to see how long it will last but even after April 1st I am still Diamond - never did the $40K spend so no idea how but loving it. Also a fee free card

I received my card too . I got my card fee free for life and am now going to try change the card to earn Qantas Points - has anyone tried that

I spoke too soon. The card just arrived. Now I just need to cancel it before the annual fee hits in Nov.

Was planning the same as the rewards bonus doesn’t interest me, but the qantas points would be OK. Will be interested to see how you go with them changing the card over to qantas - they might not honour the fee free but I’d be pushing for some kind of deal to keep the card. Maybe point out that new cards get the 40k points bonus?
