Believe the general view is about US 0.5c a point. Best value in redemptions at the lower end (as above) and the higher end.

Noob question but roughly how much is 2000 points worth? I've got 2 three nights stays booked for the promotion period but by my understanding the 2000 extra appoints per stay will be barely a 10% increase in what I would earn anyway at a cost of just over $900 each stay as a diamond member
Around $10 give or take depending on where you use them.

25% off APAC sale. Asia Pacific Sale

can be stacked with amex AU400 with AU$80 back for certain locations APAC locations.
I just booked HK for a trip, however TPE not included in the amex cashback offer :(

Does anyone know if Hilton do soft landings? Only got about 25 nights in 2019 and am headed for silver from Diamond. I've got a few stays this year (Waikiki, Cairns, Perth) that I would like to be at least gold...

You may be eligible to request extension for another year.

No soft landing. There’s often some sort of gold fast-track offer to Gold doing the rounds. Sometimes, about 4 nights or stays within 90 days.

Edit: The Amex Platinum Charge card comes with Hilton Gold, for as long as you hold the card, if that’s of any interest.

Finally the app got updated, only 10 days late...
Better check stays and rollover nights are all correct.

Received an email from HH today.."just for you" so I presume widely targeted,
100% more points when purchased before Sep 20th. and annual purchase limit increased from 80,000points to 160,000 points.
Couldn't copy the email, so did a test run, copy below. I find booking rooms using points CAN be good value when there are no sales on

Number of Points: 100,000 Points

Bonus Points: 100,000 Bonus Points

Total Points: 200,000 Points

Cost of Points: $1,000.00 USD

Hmm with the better AUD... Perhaps worth it... Just don't know when the chance to redeem will be

I value HHonors points at US$0.04 each. So, pretty much spot on. Others may value them differently.

Although it depends on when/where you plan to use them.

Just checked on OMAAT, as I recall a Hilton points promotion being mentioned recently.

OMAAT values the points at about $US0.05 each. The current promotion expires on 20 September, so seems to be the same as upthread. Buy up to 160,000 points + bonus 160,000 points. So, 320,000 points for US1,600.00.

Edit: Best redemption value can be at the more expensive properties. Also, getting the 5th night free when using points may come in handy

Or the 5k points per night at some hotels. i.e Bali airport hotel.

The HGI at Bali Airport, at which I’ve stayed twice for 5,000 points per night, certainly exceeded my expectations.

Agree, I've also been twice and found it very good. I actually spent 10k points for 2 rooms, which makes it even better to get a dual room for a cheap price. Perfect for when you land in the evening and stay for the first night before checking out around lunchtime.
