Guys and gals, I'm now confirmed platinum for this . Hope I'll be more successful than the SIN run last year where I didn't get past KUL -lol!

I'm flying QF128 back so can access EK.
Great to have you coming along
Please wave to me all the way back in row 6!

Have an upgrade request of USD95 on outbound and USD100 on inbound. If successful should get business class SCs as the booking class is changed. ;)
Is it just you, or is Mrs JohnK coming along too?
My family are now travelling separately, so I'll be able to guest as well :)
Noted, thanks.

folks I have pull out of this one due to work commitments. Hope you all enjoy the lounge hopping

Not that it is relevant in this thread but I have booked Holiday Inn Express Kowloon East for the Saturday night.

I have just been advised that I am now on QF128 departing HKG at 20:15.
Apparently the flight to MEL is now an A330 and I am booked in PE.

Hmm, looked this morning at fares and pondered booking. Then closed the window.
I'm still a maybe, will probably use points if I attend. I want at least an overnight, so that's the next set of pondering!

I'm pondering too... still need to work out a decent way to leave on a OW ticket.

RJ 183 to BKK for ~$280 in Y?
QF back to SYD for 28k points + ~$100 in Y?

They seem pretty poor value compared to just doing a QF return for ~$800 in Y... no availability remaining for redemptions on short turnarounds like HKG-TPE sadly. That would've been well worth 10k one-way! Ideally, I'd still like to at least fly in on SQ if I can, as I do still need some more SCs on the VA side though.

Any suggestions?

After lots of toing and froing, I'm now confirmed.

Arrive Saturday at 16:40 ex BA, Depart Sunday at 23:45 ex BA.
Planning on staying at the HIX Soho , but that is subject to change. Have RSVP'd for Saturday dinner.

Please have pity on me, I'm flying in Premium Economy on BA to join this!!!!

Good grief! That's commitment!

My plans changed a bit and turns out I'm not going to be in HK for very long after all... but consider me confirmed (if there are still guesting spots available)!

In: SQ 890 11:20 Sat 11 Jun
Out: QF 118 21:25 Sun 12 Jun

I shall 'make it so', In fact I am quite 'energised' to be able to 'engage' with you in a month.

Plenty of guest spots so you will be fine.

I have a very short transit in HKG on 12 June - I am on CX 383 to ZRH leaving at at 23:50. Unlikely that I will have time to visit a lounge (or search lounges to track down anyone still around) but may stick my head to at least a CX business lounge if time permits.

What time are people planning to be at HKG airport on Sunday? I am going to have breakfast in the hotel and then lunch in the Wing where they hopefully have lamb roast waiting for me.

Jump online when you land to see where we may be. I expect looking at the list that most of us will have left by then, but you never know ...

I am sorry to say that my travel plans have changed and will now be in Hk next week rather than June :( so please take me off the list. Wish you all have a great crawl!

Always fashionably late to the party, count me in for this one...

Arriving Friday 10/6 on QF29
Departing Sunday 12/6 on QF128
