Hotel prices in Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto exploding

Second this.
QF fly into Haneda and landing time is usually late evening so it's a quick 10 minute taxi ride to a nice hotel over at Kawasaki.
I paid $108 per night last week but I had it booked around Aug last year so well in advance.

Similarly coming home, QF59 departs HND at 6:55am so stay at same hotel and board their early morning free shuttle to HND.

You could use it as a base to explore Tokyo as it's really easy to pop over to HND (use the hotel free shuttle) and catch the monorail or the Keikyu line.
Hotel is Tokyu Rei Kawasaki King Skyfront.
My flight is arriving at sparrows fart. I'm staying my first night in Kawasaki because it's nearby and has some great stuff to check out. I have a week by myself before the missus arrives and staying in different places almost every night to explore and save some cash.

Night in Kawasaki was only $150 for something half decent.
