A fairly decent response, I would have thought - save for the fact the gentleman can't spell the name of the loyalty program (it's HHonors, not Honors).
I'll try again if the price is right and I'm going to a show at Rod Laver Arena. (Possibly 7th Dec)Are you going to take it, or just go back to HSW?

Another who puts on a great show.Elton John, what a stark contrast of taste in music
Note that the NOR1 process generally works against elites.

Checked in last night at HOP. Received absolutely nothing, not even executive room upgrade, complimentary water etc.
I asked the guy at check in regarding room upgrade and he told me he had put me in an Executive room. I queried again because I know Executive room are located on L17 and 18, he then said because he had given me executive lounge access, I am thus considered to be in an executive room. He further stated that all room at HOP, excluding suites, are the same (even though they clearly have a Deluxe room which is more expensive). I did score a late check out today though for 3PM.
For the price I paid, I could have gone to Westin but decided to show some loyalty to Hilton. Bad choice I suppose.
It seems like they have upgraded me to a Deluxe room
Melb. HOP was a ripper before the benefits were standardised world wide a few years ago. (Before then non North American properties could avoid exec access for Diamond and breakfast for Golds).I very often bump into the "Hilton King" versus the "Hilton King Deluxe" and at most properties its not even a bit obvious what the difference really is ... are these "Deluxe" rooms generally higher up the tower and thats why one pays a premium to get one? Other than that possibility they seem to usually be the same size, with same amenities/etc.
Jock28,I sent an email to the Adelaide Hilton asking for photos of their different suite types, as they only have one photo on their website. The response I got from the property was:
Dear Mr Jock28,
Thank you for your email.
Kindly be advised that you can access the majority of pictures on the Hilton website, www.hilton.com
Kind regards,
xx_X
Needless to say I won't be booking a suite for my upcoming stay. To think in house reservations wouldn't provide the photos, and provide the hotel chain's website rather than the individual property's is really poor practice.
I really don't think Hilton is working out for me. Other than in cities where no *wood or Hyatt properties exist, Hilton won't be considered.
