How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

The last time that I was at Glass for breakfast, pre-prepared tea from the 1 litre jug was complimentary, but a tea bag and hot water had a charge ($4, or so?) as with the coffee.

Whereas, Hilton Adelaide wasn't charging for proper coffee or tea bags for breakfast in the restaurant.

I am quite a regular at HSW. Since charges imposed for coffee I've been offered free coffees maybe 5 mornings and 3 or 4 times told there'd be a charge. I've started drinking tea in any event.
In Cairns it's still free...

Will be interesting to see the upgrades this weekend at the Adelaide Hilton, as there are a number of AFF'ers there who are Diamonds. First in, or highest economic value (paid rates) or number of past stays at property??

There are times when being a tea drinker make me smile. This is one of those times :D
Best upgrade hosts the after party!

Oh, I have yet to be charged for coffee at HotP.

Does that mean you had to pay $8 for the 'complementary' breakfast?

I am not feeling the HH love today. Checked in to find no upgrade, double bed not king, and on the 6th floor.

Hmmm.

Ouch that's bad! The hotel must be fully booked, normally they are very generous with upgrades.
Not that the exec rooms are something to hold your breath for and you still have lounge access and free breakfast (barista coffee was also free last time I was there).

275k points? Could you not have used the Diamond guarantee to demand a guest room be opened up for you @ standard rate? Seems like a very expensive use of points...

What exactly is a standard rate? Guestroom can go from $110 up to $360 at peak times.
And I also think 275k points for 2 nights at this hotel is a huge ripoff by HH.
