How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

They can see how many stays you had and how much you spent on average.

My Diamond 'run' will be finishing soon. I've been on somewhat of a farewell tour lately, being HoTP-HSP-HSW-BNE in as many weeks. Going to finish it out with Tokyo next Feb probably. I'll drop to Silver, but it's been a great ride. No group has ever looked after me as well as Hilton, that's for sure.

"OnQ" is the system they use and very little info on your membership is not available ...

Interesting, FWIW I have been a BIB Diamond for over two years now with Hilton and haven't noticed a single iota of difference from my experiences as a VA Diamond.
Maybe I'm staying at the wrong properties ?

No, you'll never drop to Silver - too many Gold programs out there :D

ill see what happens next year when i go back to a more normal existence and only visit one every 3 months instead of every 3 days

I had 8 stays at HOTP & HSW since Nov. Both properties treats diamonds very well and I've enjoyed 100% suite upgrades so far. I guess there is a balance between people who look for cheap rates and those who prefer to pay a bit more for newer hotel so there is enough space to upgrade everyone, for now. I think it's all going to change in Jan and my luck is going to run out when only HSW is left (probably not many diamonds are going to like the loungeless DT).
With each stay at HOTP I've grown to like this place more and more. Even if the lounge is small, I had no problem fining a seat and the service becomes better once the staff gets to know you. The good rates and generous upgrades are not common in AU Hiltons.

In my last 3 stays as a Gold, I have never received a single bottle of water. Not that it bothers me as there is plenty to drink in the Exec Lounge and it's about a $1 to buy on the street.

I just got back to the room after the meeting and now there are 4 bottles plus the 3 in the minibar...
I appreciate it but ill be floating soon.

Don't even touch the minibars here... They are automated which means you will be charged for anything that even moves an inch. :/
The HotP and HSW minibars are just small fridges.

Buzzard, if you want water just ask as you pass reception as you are entitled to it.

On one occasion I have had a bottle from the mini bar as there was no 'complementary' bottles supplied. I mentioned it at checkout and was not charged.
