How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

I am not asking them as I know they will answer by the book not the practice. Thanks for sharing your information
My experience has usually been good when asking they often want to help you, I find Accor hotels to be very basic on any upgrade or perks

I am planning to book 2 rooms at Double Tree Hobart. I understand that I will receive free breakfast for my room - if I am not wrong, I would like to know what happen to 2nd room? Should I book breakfast for them or Will they receive free breakfast as well please?
From a 7 nights recent stay, I would think the answer will be "no".

While friendly and accommodating, they seem to be "by the book" at the moment.

But you never know...

Golds and Diamonds only get continental breakfast. You get reminded each day that it's $10 per person to upgrade to the full hot buffet (with some cook-to-order egg options).

I cant speak of Double Tree Hobart but I know the previous stays I had in Hilton & Conrad Tokyo, Hilton Bangkok, Hilton Osaka and Conrad Koh Samui applied the Diamond benefits to both rooms booked under my name.

Thought I did need to ask in places like Conrad Tokyo & Hilton Bangkok as they initially said benefits only apply to 1 room
Not sure that Tassie has many Conrads as yet.

Did you try buffet. Does it worth it to pay for that or I better go to local Cafe ? Thanks

Is there a link to this?

Edit: Is it possible that you were misled about no dining benefit?

Got an invite to Delta silver medallion today via HH. Not sure who is eligible. Well timed before a Garuda flight- better than nothing!

So is HH Gold invited to Silver and HH Diamond to Gold?

Not me. But others in my group did. They were happy with it.

For $10 more it's quite a good hot and cold spread. The included continental (for golds and diamonds) is quite good.

I *think* the prices are $29 and $39. For those prices there are nearby cafe options.

Didn't get an email on the targeted Delta Status match - confirmed that I am not eligible by the points site.

Not well. DoubleTree Heathrow closing to public for 2 years to provide services to government. Prepaid reservation and no offer to rebook to another hotel and no refund yet either

Property: Conrad Bali
Nights: 4
Status: Diamond
Room booked: Conrad Suite + Deluxe Room Pool View
Received: 2 x Conrad Ocean Suites
Rate: Amex THC (Stay 4 Pay 3)

Overall excellent stay.

The rooms were huge and had an obstructed view of the beach over the Conrad Pool Suites below and some well kept lawns. I believe there are only 4 rooms of this category so was quite happy with the upgrade.

The Conrad Suites Lounge was open to Diamond guests only and not Suites guests as the name might suggest. It got pretty full each night, there were about 30-40 Diamond rooms booked most nights (judging off the list at reception). Canapes were small and service was on the slower side, the lounge was not as well staffed as East Lobby Lounge. It has both an indoor (aircon) and outdoor balcony section

East Lobby Lounge was open to all ages and often had live music or an event on. The canapes and drinks were identical to the Suites Lounge, but the space wasn't air-conditioned and quite busy & loud. Service was always quick and there were plenty of staff around.

Laundry is no longer free as it was previously, although $19 for same day wash & fold up to 40 pieces was reasonable. We preferred breakfast at Suku in the main building which had a wider selection than Rin. It wasn't advertised but Diamonds also had access to a wider made-to-order drinks menu at breakfast, including smoothies.

We ate dinner at Suku to use one room's worth of $100 USD THC credit - the two rooms credits couldn't be combined, annoyingly. Even with the 25% Diamond discount we felt the dinner menu was grossly overpriced for the minuscule portions. The free Diamond drinks at the restaurants during dinner previously reported in this thread seems to be no more - the East Lobby Lounge wouldn't even let me take my drink down a flight of stairs to the restaurant!

The grounds were perfectly maintained, and the Conrad Suites pool had an attendant regularly bringing around iced water and cold towels.

Occupancy seemed around 50% at best - not too many people around.

Service at reception was very hit and miss. Awfully slow check-in / check-out - and seemed to take two people to complete every task.

The Amex THC USD rate was very good, but it wasn't made clear at check-in that the THC credit could only be used on F&B - only discovered this the night before check-out when asking how much credit was left. Had to push to get my laundry and airport transfer covered by the credit, they allowed the laundry but insisted the transfer was a 3rd party service so had to be paid separately.

But all in all, considering the price paid for this standard of property (combined $600pn for the two rooms) and the upgrades received, we would stay again.

No, I know a Diamond member who got Delta Silver and @Cynicor is LTD on Hilton.

I tried the link and got natch, not eligible as not invited.

I just received mine this morning for Gold (as HH Diamond). I wonder if frequency of stays in the US makes a difference? Mine are probably 75%+.

I won't be participating.
