Park Hyatt Melbourne

Booked Park Suite King

Upgraded to the Ambassador Suite - with a thanks for being such a good member

If anyone wants photos - I'll be happy to post.

Photos are always appreciated.

Had the same room multiple times, generally only on one night stays and when traveling for work.

IIRC the upgrade was a jump of three suites over what we booked.

Was welcome as it was a leisure stay for a few nights. I suspect it’s easier / better for them to use the lower suites for last minute bookings and upgrades.

The lounge was heaving, way too busy to be enjoyable - killed the mood. The numbers really thinned out midweek.

Indeed but I'm going for top tier proper, not the diet version. I have six nights at the Regency Sydney coming up this week which will take me to 54 of the 60 required.
Enjoy the milestone rewards, especially the TSU's ... :)

What a coincidence, I was in the Hyatt Regency Perth. I am Globalist too. I got upgraded to a suite since I have stayed at the hotel many times for work. I stayed for 8 nights from the 13 Dec. I literally got 3 nights points back. This 8 nights carries towards 2021. My booking in Melbourne Grand Hyatt 5 nights may get cancelled in Jan (counted as 10 nights) because of COVID as I am from NSW.

I though HR Perth was on quarantine duty - or has that time come to an end?

Yes it is, including all other big hotels in Perth. However, Level 2 to 8 are used for Quarantine and their lifts access is from the back of the hotel so it is segregated

Is the $35 food credit in the evening per person or per room? I am staying at the Grand Hyatt as Globalist with 2 adults and 1 kid. Did u get the breakfast at the restaurant located in the lobby area

I was only by myself so I don't know if it was per person or per room. I'll be going back there in a week and can report back.

Breakfast was in the lobby (Level L2) opposite the check-in area.

Thanks for the update. Thats a bit disappointing, you can just get a main course for a room of 3 people for that price. However, The hotels are not doing that gr8 in these times so I understand.

Very disappointing. $35 will barely get two glasses of wine.
