I booked this stay
some months ago as I had two nights in Tokyo and it seemed like a decent use of SNUs within my upcoming travel plans. I wasn't expecting any further upgrade, as the ALL engine doesn't show any category higher than the Superior Suite, but apparently there is a single Deluxe Suite which is only bookable by contacting the hotel directly.
The suite was massive and well appointed. The bedding was comfortable however the pillows a little too tall for my liking. Large walk-in wardrobe offered ample hanging space. The suite had two toilets, one near the foyer/living area and one connected to the gigantic bathroom. The bath was huge and easily fits two people.
The room was quite well thought-out, with only two major design flaws: the master light switches didn't control every single light so finding all the switches to turn off the lights each night was a bit of a mission, and while the living room & bedroom blinds were electronically operated, the block-out blind in the bathroom was not and required a bit of manoeuvring around the bathtub to reach. The wall separating the bathroom and bedroom is tinted glass, so sunlight filled the bedroom via the bathroom window on both mornings...
But these are fairly minor (and 1st world) complaints in what was an excellent stay. Not withstanding the upgrade and the best welcome gift I've received to date - likely influenced by a note on the booking that it's our honeymoon - the service levels were impeccable from start to finish. Status benefits were clearly explained and recognition was solid. Staff went out of their way to help us at all times.
The EL was pretty good too with a nice open air terrace, house wines and a beer tap (Premium Malts Master's Dream) available all day, with more wines, spirits and a "tapas plate set" in the evening. The tapas plate was quite substantial. There was no substantial breakfast offering in the EL with just pre-packaged muffins and yoghurts available.
The breakfast buffet at Kasa was passable, but not the best quality and probably the weakest point of the stay. The made-to-order egg omelette and eggs bene were both rather average. Barista coffee wasn't offered but was provided on request, and was okay.
The welcome drink voucher was redeemable at Junction (lobby bar) for house wines, beers, soft drink, basic mixed drinks (G&T etc), coffee and tea. We used ours on hot and iced lattes and both were very good by Japanese standards.
The Pullman is well positioned with undercover pedestrian bridge access directly into Tamachi & Mita stations allowing for a single train to both HND & NRT and easy access to the Yamanote line. The property opened 1.5 years prior to covid, and on the three occasions we caught a taxi to the hotel, each taxi driver hadn't heard of the hotel and we had to provide additional info for them to look it up. If you can't speak Japanese and might catch a cab here, it's worth asking reception for a business card showing the address & phone number of the hotel, or having the info handy before hopping in.
