How long for complimentary hotel status to come through

Nice to see some of us are feeling the love from Virgin and Hilton then...just hope that others who have posted here that they were experiencing delays, get the same "loving feeling" soon.

Got HH Diamond upgrade this morning. Applied via Velocity website (with existing HH Gold a/c) 24/4/12, email from Velocity 27/4/12, email and confirmation from HH 3/5/12.

Pretty expeditious if I may say so myself.

Mrsdrron applied online on 20/4 and got her confirmation email from Hhonors on 26/4.We did this as going to stay in Singapore at the Hilton and just wanted to make sure of exec lounge access.Staying there as we intend to eat at Iggys and the Great Singapore sale is on so right on Orchard road!

Have just established a login for mrsdrron and although the email from Hhonors says diamond on logging in the status is blue.Sacre Bleu!

Maybe try to login again, in case the home page is displaying the (old) status from a previous login, if you have done it previously.

As I said this is a brand new account only set up by Hhonors in response to the diamond match.Still shows Blue.Awaiting the Hhonors reply.

Yes. But I also think that my status updated (from Gold to Diamond) overnight, US time. Unfortunately it doesn't seem that way in your case.

I've no idea when I got diamond. I'd phoned Virgin and they took details and were going to sort it out, but weeks went by and I never heard from them.

I finally decided to phone Hilton and check if anything had happened on that end, and was told I was Diamond at that stage. Coincidentally a letter arrived the next day from Hilton with the new diamond card, so I suppose I'd have found out then anyway.

The card is dated Exp 03/2014 so hopefully it will be good for that long, I've booked 4 stays in June/July now anyway (I figure they deserve the custom if they are giving me diamond). I hope it is a more impressive stay than my one previous Hilton stay (a LA airport hotel - very impressive foyer but the room was pretty average - creamer is the enemy of all quality beverages IMO).

Guess I'll know if I feel the love or not while I'm (hopefully) enjoying the Hilton's in London/Frankfurt/Mainz.

I think I'll keep my Intercontinental Ambassador membership, but will let the Priority Privilege lapse for a year or two if Diamond benefits are sufficiently impressive (I figure I can try the Australian Hilton's out once my PP benefits end).

Mrsdrron's account finally kicked over to diamond today.4 stays booked.Really convenient as we will have stays in Barbados and Iceland in the next 18 months.Both have Hiltons but no SPG.

Mrsdrron's Hhonors card arrived today-good as we are off to Singapore tomorrow.but bad as it is only a Blue card.So have just printed out her Hhonors page where it says diamond and tell them unfortunately the card did not arrive in time.

I think I'll hold off applying for now given 'hundreds' are still being processed. Quick question: is the HH one off or is it a yearly benefit? Seemed obvious but just want to be sure.

Unfortunately in my past life as an hhonors diamond I had been asked for my card on several occasions so best to be prepared.

I have never been asked to produce the card. It's been just the opposite. I used to produce the card but it was always waved off with "We have your profile in our system".

I did not requalify for HHonors Diamond by 31/12/2011 and only just managed Gold. However, through the Virgin offer, I applied in early April and now have a new HHonors Diamond card delivered about 10 days ago which has an expiry of 03/2014.
