How long until you get to LTP? (Or are you already there ^_~)

If you take a look at the last thumbnail showing the reverse side of the LTP leather carry-on luggage bag tag. You will see a round metal shape with two holes around 3mm apart. The metal ‘pin tie’ object is a purpose built "screw driver" that is used to lock the two ends of the leather carry-on luggage bag tag.
Just recapping the main points: you reached Lifetime Platinum and QF gave you a screw driver. 🤔;)

Very funny 🤣🤣🤣 👏👏👏 Must be up there with the price of some of the screwdrivers supplied by NASA during the Apollo and Shuttle era. The other interesting feature is that you will most likely use this screwdriver only once - once you've set up the tag you really don't need to move it. I'm sure you could improvise if you somehow lost it.

Question: How many screwdrivers do you have that were made from a 747 that you spent way too much time travelling in?

Sadly that screw driver will not fix the record long wait times on hold. For that you need to be in the Chairman's Club. Yet another reason to run for the Qantas Frequent Flyer party at the next Federal election!

Ummmmm - that map appears to indicate that VH-OJN never flew to Sydney or Perth ??!!

I have this feeling that in the next simulation I'll start travelling at a younger age and in with a chance of Lifetime Platinum in a single lifetime.

Saw my first LTP metal bag tag in the wild on way back from DFW this week. Looked nice, though not sure 75,000 SCs nice

I would have thought Penny should be at home in the lead up to the election!

She's off to Tokyo, couple days in, Penny adding to her 75,000 SC's, flying over to talk about climate change, after sitting in J for 10 hours, ah the irony of it all. Just lovely.

As the new foreign minister, I suspect she will (should) be flying a lot more!

I don't think she'll be accruing SCs on this trip. Suspect she'll be onboard a RAAF aircraft. Do they even have lie flat seats on the 737 the PM uses?

Not sure on the 737, but they certainly do in the ex-JQ A330 that he converted for his new RAAF jet 'Shark One'. 100 lie-flats was the number given at the time, back in 2019. Not heard or seen much of it since then...

I saw a LTP card at the P1 drinks last week. Super nice, metal like the Amex Plat/ Cent.
I’m half way there, just don’t think it’s realistic for me sadly View attachment 278143
More than two-thirds of the way there, for me. But then I think that I was more than half way there when LTP was introduced.
No chance in this world - or the next - of reaching the giddy heights, though. 😢 🤣
