Currently 22 flights , 22585 miles at the moment , with at least one to go next weekend back from Canberra , all self funded . Maintained VA Gold during the year , but going to struggle going into 2014 at this stage . No big O/S trips planned .

New cities visited this year … SLC , PVD , ATL & WLG

79 Flights. All except 9 were work related. 82,130 miles. Split across VA and QF as best as I could to retain WP in both (got Mrs Aus ATC companion Plat in VA). Here's hoping for similar or better next year....

38 flights this year mainly SYD-MEL shuttles. Flew 48,315 miles (due to my trip to Europe and HKG). Interestingly, I have travelled almost exclusively with the QF Group this year (except for one flight with EK that is booked as a QF codeshare).

The final flight for 2013 will be a short flight home to MEL on the 24th.

New airports: DXB, FRA.

I forgot to add EK as a new carrier for me.

I will reply closer to the end of the year (once I actually work it out), but it was quite a bit.

This year saw an increase in once-off conferences, but a reduction in time spent in SIN and on commuter flights (MEL-SIN).

Yesterday flew the last of my 188 sectors for the year (which is a record for me).

Only did just over 131K miles, though, as many flights were very short domestic NZ flights.

51 sectors flow so far. In January didn't think I would retain SG, but then got over to WP and have enough travel booked to retain it well before my year ends.

The year that was 2013:
104 flights/sectors
119,209 miles
293.5 hours

>95% self-funded.

2013 Totals

QF - 68
JQ - 10
AA - 9
VA - 8
AC - 2
UA - 1

First - 9
Business - 42

Didn't realise I was that close to 100 flights - but out of time to sneak in the extra two ;)

Certainly not much compared to some on AFF, but 2013 was my most active year for flying:

26 segments
112,838 km
6 days 6:30

72 segments to date

34 on VA
31 on QF/JQ
2 on SQ
2 on BA
2 on MI
1 on LH

Haven't tracked miles :shame:

Better question for me is how many flights have I had to cancel or just not able to book in 2013 due to work.

1 Trip to MNL

1 Trip to NAN

1 Trip to LAS

Accommodation has been booked and in some cases paid for and then lost.

Countless domestic flights to many to mention.

2014 is not looking any better but

Total of 95 segments for me, all completely self-funded so I'm very happy with that. Wanted to hit the ton, but alas no luck (read: lack of AL and funds).

Added some amazing locations (thanks to "promos" you may recognise) including:
- Western Samoa (VA)
- Rarotonga (VA)
- Singapore (QF)
- Hawaii (Jetstar MEL-HNL launch sale).

Went to Hobart less than I would've liked, but that's how it goes.

Have decided to limit myself to one trip per month next year as I noticed perhaps a little too much money going on holidays this year (is that possible?) - and I'm already booked til September!

Lounge of the year for me goes to LHR Clubhouse - boy I enjoyed that. Worst lounge goes to MEL VA lounge at the moment unfortunately. I really enjoy spending some time in the OOL and CNS VA lounges, I think their intimate design is fantastic.

2014 brings my first F experience in March with QF. MEL-SYD-(DBX)-LHR-WAW, the last being on BA. Words can't describe how excited I am about it. Thank you AA.

Lastly, a huge thanks goes to everyone here at AFF, great bunch of people with a common interest. I almost always love reading the posts on here, though sometimes there's some posts which make me think ... well, you know.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to meet many of you at all, though I'm sure the opportunity will come up soon. Merry Christmas everyone.

Some great flying there and I agree about AA.

Maybe this event will give you a chance to meet with some of us?
