How much have you flown in 2013?

Hi
Whilst I read this forum regularly, I very rarely post but thought I might after reading this thread. I live in the States but travel regularly for my job. I've just finished my last trip for the year and for 2013 have the following stats:

30 actual trips
7 trips to Australia/NZ
120 segments
334,000 km's (207,000 miles)

I guess that's a fair bit when you sit back and look at the facts! This is a fairly normal year for me, have been doing this kind of travel for a long time.

Hope everyone on AFF has a great Christmas and New Year and safe travels in 2014!

We should take this further and have an annual awards on frequent travellers tales like;
- worst seats to sleep in
- favourite customs lines we love to queue in!
- worst coffee at a lounge
- biggest dint in the luggage from the baggage handlers
- longest wait for luggage
Certainly more fun than the OAG awards!!!

Around 200,000 miles, 100 sectors with 25 nights on board.
Thanks to QFF / AA / USDM / LM and Op-Ups, I managed 75,000 of those in F and 65,000 in J, so not too painful.

At first i wasn't going to bother trying to count this but realised that Tripit did it for me:

Slightly below what i did the last two years but not by much. One more trip left to Sydney for NYE and then another 40,000+ Miles in the 1st 6 weeks of next year.

Paging jb747 to the white courtesy phone.....

I wonder how much flying JB has done this year? Might ask him in the Ask The Pilot thread....

Fairly late chiming in here, usually only a lurker but this thread got me interested to find out my travels this year......

Predominately work related with 4 domestic flights, a return trip to and a couple of flights internally in the USA the only non work travel

53 segments
34766 miles

And the most fun of all, non commercial flights: 8 flying lessons!

Just from Auck-Syd on Emirates EK413 in March, post Celebrity Solstice cruise. First time on Emirates, quite good, but they were struggling to serve a full dinner to a full A380 in the 3 hour flight across the ditch.

Got a bit of travel next year, Sydney to Santiago on LAN A340 (Economy - Qantas FF tickets.) Then LAN 767, SCL to BA. Then LAN A320 to and from BA/Igauzu Falls. Then Air NZ 777-300 Premium Economy (space seats) LAX to LHR. Then Qantas A380 - Premium Economy, LHR-Syd. With some land travel and cruising in between.

40 flights: 121396 kms

The stat below is the one that really counts (Did not travel OS in 2013 in economy!!):
Booking classes:

Economy: 21
Premium Economy: 1
Business: 17
First: 1

Interesting kpc!
See you on 30th
You will have to show me how you work it out.

Wow, you guys certainly know your stats.

Me, 3 to the States
1 to Mexico
10 or so to Adelaide (from Syd)
a few to Melbourne and regional NSW where I include Canberra.

I don't know how long in the air, how far or how much spent on tickets.

Matt

Went through the emails...only about 10 flights internal ie. Mel-BRIS, Mel-Syd, Mel-Adelaide, Mel-Perth all return and 1 to LAX return and LAX-NY return. Did most is second part of year.
Hoping to double in 2014.....

That is definitely a lot, but I haven't seen anyone else post more miles than I did this year - 207,000 (see earlier post) - just over 8 times around the world, and all my travel done in economy. Happy new Year to everyone on AFF!

You are the Champ then, well done, happy new year to you too and everyone else on AFF.
