How much have you flown in 2013?

That is definitely a lot, but I haven't seen anyone else post more miles than I did this year - 207,000 (see earlier post) - just over 8 times around the world, and all my travel done in economy. Happy new Year to everyone on AFF!

91 segments plus another 12 to do before the end of the year and almost 280,000 miles with 90% self funded

Which makes it 103 segments and 10,200 miles making total around 290,000 Miles :D

I've had a solid year for me considering International travel was all postponed from January to June due to a major project, but couldn't hit my 2012 record of 130,000 miles. I hit 90025 miles across 41 segments. A DONE4 in the middle of the year helped! :)

Already 2014 is looking like I'll hit an all time record, of over 150,000 miles

Wow Ansett - sorry I missed that post, that makes you the winner by far! And even more so since it was self funded - great effort! Happy travels for 2014

Just done a quick calculation (this thread got me curious).
2013 51 segments, 73586 miles. This included one trip to USA (in J - but upgraded to F on points), and one trip to UK and Europe (in F). Rest was domestic Australian flights - approx. half in J and half in Y.
So far have 3 overseas trips planned and booked for 2014. One to New Zealand (in Y), one to Japan (in W) and one round the world (in J). 53414 miles booked so far, to give me 1730 SC, without any of the domestic flights booked yet. Happy to have secured WP until at least Jul 2015 with these bookings.

Mine is rather embarrassing, I don't think I should post it now...

Hello All,

I found this title to hard to pass up so had too sign up and work this out old school on excel.

I waited until 2014 to post on the hope I would fly in December but alas wasn't the case in the end so this is based on Jan 1 to Nov 30

86 segments - 68 Y, 4 Y+, 13 J & 1 F

165,798 miles

13 carriers - 6 new being EY, MI, MH, QR, AY & 4M

14 countries - 3 new being Cambodia, Finland & Argentina

6 new airports being DOH, IGR, AEP, EZE, HEL & REP

Did Ansett end up beating Jwak in post 33 with 303595 miles??

I am pleased to say Nope. Last year was avery big year for me travel wise and I do not expect to get any where near close this year :D. My family whilst supportive would like to see me occasionaly LOL specially as Daughter is getting married this Year!

According to the AFF tracker thingy in 2013, I have recorded 34 flights with a total of 54,188 miles, I may add 1 flight to get me above 55,000 miles but I will know in about 2 weeks,

I flew another flight in 2013 to take me to 35 segments.

Distance: 55,046 Miles.
Most popular airline: Qantas 20 segments.

Wow. You leave me for dead in terms of sheer number of airports (not to mention distance):

(although there were three or four trips to the USA on the same routes, which the map doesn't really show)

For 2013 I've managed 32 segments for a total of 45,799 miles.

Airlines:
QF 20 segments
AA 8 segments
JQ 2 segments
VA 1 segment
B6 1 segment

Classes:
Y 17
J 10
F 5

All self-funded travel. My stats won't exactly top this list but it sure was the most flying I've done in a year so far!

Scott.

Goodness, there are some serious flyers here.

(Wondering if a few have taken the lying typo in the EDM literally. Yes, yes, just kidding)

Love it.

Not 100% sure of the miles, but my year looked a bit like this:

Disarm Doors and Crosscheck: 2013 - A SINGLE ORBIT

Hoping 2014 is equally interesting...planning a white Christmas in Japan which will be a nice way to end it.

Happy travels, everyone.

Ben

You did go to NZ more than me though... I only went the once to CHC :(

Yeah, the MEL-SIN line on my map should be "bold" :p... and I flew United once, but lets keep that on the down low shall we ;)

But everything is reset to zero now, another year, another few hundred thousand BIS miles

My 28,234 miles over 9 segments is a drop in the ocean to some of you.
Bookings in place for 2014 other than NZ for new years will result in similar mileage.
Happy to say all travel is for leisure whilst still working though my wife debates whether it is on a full time basis.
