Those that have recently applied, what has been your time frame from pressing submit to being fully approved?
Last time I applied it took me 20 business days, I hope it isn't that long this time around.

I applied today, conditionally approved, submitted bank statement using their Income Express Verification tool. Have received email saying congratulations for completing the application and HSBC will now process the documentation... will wait for further contact (if any)

Seems as through their processes have sped up since I last applied. Conditionally approved on weekend but denied after supplying income verification :( (just simple employee fortnight salary, now I'm wondering I may have supplied incorrect info), oh well, will wait a 6 months before applying again

Good luck. As I previously indicated I spoke directly with HSBC and they clearly stated this was an expired deal. HSBC award the points NOT Qantas.
update: ive managed to get my annual fee back, I wrote 2 complaints, didnt hear back at all (apparently this is common to hsbc service)
submitted an ombudsman complaint, havent heard back anything either, but checked my account and the fee has been refunded, the same day the ombudsman complaint was subbmited,

its been 5 days since ombudsman complaint, and I have not heard from anyone

edit: awesome, got an email from hsbc, they are saying it should have been $0 annual fee with no QFF points, and as a gesture of good will, $200 credit

Im impressed!!

I got this in the email today

Dear John
Don’t miss out! You still have time to register for HSBC Points Boost2 to start earning
25% extra points1 on eligible purchases3 up to 31 December 2019.

---------
Max 10,000 bonus points, 25% bonus points offer does not apply on points offered at the time of acquisition/account opening. The total number of bonus points that can be earned between 1 November and 31 December 2019 is capped at 10,000. For example if you earn 10,000 points during the campaign period based on your eligible purchases then you will receive an additional 2,500 bonus points to your HSBC credit card account by 28 February 2020. T
-----------------
however, so according to my maths, since the first $2500 is 1:1 and subsequent is 2:1 but capped at 7500 that means maximum spend of $12,500 to give 7500 points plus 25% extra of 1875 points,
so you cant get to the maxium of 10,000 bonus points
