So my family & I were starting to think that maybe it’s because I’m a mid aged female, can find no other reason
Don't beat yourself up, my better half was approved and relatively speaking, except for the age, her situation was only half as good as yours. Also you're not missing much, this mob is very painful to deal with, online and mobile experience is 5 years behind - on 11th month our card is destined for the shredder.

I decided it was their loss x3, & if they are that impersonal I decided I would exercise my right to take my business elsewhere & I did we applied for a Qantas Premier Mastercard. Enjoy shredding your card & I will take a minutes silence on the 11th for the loss of another unhappy customer.

What a hopeless process.

With no obvious means to effectively send documents (the web site suggests a document upload portal but I could not find it) I was given an email address to send documents to ([email protected] if anyone needs it in future). Most contact by phone (voicemail that I reply to).

Sent through payslips and bank account statements (they want to see not only that you got paid, but that it ended up in your account!). Then, because I have a very small pay deduction to a different institution they wanted to see those deposits as well! And then, they chased me up because that statement didn't have my name on it (screen shot from on-line banking)!

First ID check at Australia Post failed (passport was not accepted for some bizarre reason). Second 1 OK.

2 enquiries (3 days apart) on my credit report has hit my rating hard - dropped 100 points - (can that be addressed?).

Now to wait to see if it is all approved (all for 60k points @$199.00). I don't think this will be a keeper....

after meeting minimum spend on this card how long does it take for the bonus points to be credited?

Hit spend start of second month.
Only received usual spend points with second statement, no 60k bonus.
Sent online message asking for confirmation that I had met the spend criteria.
This was confirmed, along with the '8 weeks' t and c for bonus points crediting quoted.
In no rush for the points, they're to put in the bank, but interesting difference from the immediate credit others have experienced.

thanks cjd600 this is the sort of data point I was looking for with my query. results do change especially after 6 months. If I had not to ask me and others would not know!

Got approved for card today .No ID check required. I`m an existing customer.
Does the statment have aus post post billpay code- allowing you to make payment at self service checkout at Aus Post?

As I roll up on 11 weeks since meeting the minimum spend criteria for the bonus 60,000 points, I decided to go all @Dr Ralph on them but via the telephone initally.

The result appears to be an additional 60,000, so all up 120,000 + points for spend all for $99 (reduced due to my employer being a corporate partner).

Have signed back on for this card after my exclusion period has passed from last year. Looking forward to adding the points to the points bank!

I'll have to check but I think I still have a few more months to go.

Met the minimum spend after 2 months. The 60,000 points has appeared in my HSBC on-line details, and I expect will be swept across to QFF at the end of the 3rd month. Sweating on this for an upcoming One World Award….

Now swept across to QFF :).

I think I'll product swap this to the Premier Mastercard with no annual fee for my non-Amex keeper and keep churning the Big 4's offerings.

My 18 month exclusion period is now up. Thinking of getting back on for this one.

Minimum spend made within first week of card issue. 60,000 bonus points received on second statement. Thanks HSBC!

Had a number of hoops to jump but approved with $20k limit yesterday.
My income is a mix of employed and selfemployed which complicates matters I suppose.

Needed
Application Form
then
Payslips
then
Bank statement
then
Notice of Assessment
then
Telephone call to clarify Credit Cards limits/homeloan/% of household expenses.

I wondered if this was post-Royal Commission hyperdiligence. Have had the card a few years ago and nothing like as much

I found the upload process quite straightforward-there was a link on the emails provided

Needed
Notice of Assessment

Any financial institution wanting my tax assessments from the ATO just for a credit card application can go jump.

I hope you blotted out your TFN before giving it to them.

Not exactly points related, but received an offer to add a supplementary card for 5% cashback (up to $50 after $1000 spend on the additional card). Mrs Aus ATC doesn't have one of these (she uses mine), so why not.
