I am supposed to be QFF Platinum today but QANTAS has changed their system and i didn't receive my points and SC.
By improvement that means better experience to customers but with QANTAS i don't think so. I am not sure i will make my international 18 flights per year the next 12 months on a such company how doesn't care about the service. I am a share holder of QANTAS and that's a real pity to see how their staff consider customers.
I just came back from the QF12 from LAX and i am a fan of this wonderful Cadbury hot chocolate with marshmallow and i have seen the trolley gone thru in the plane and didn't stop at all. The flights attendants are supposed to give us (QFF Gold) an express card to exit and i am still waiting for it.
In the past, once you are in the plane your points were automatically credited on your account (i have checked it many many times). Now even after 24 hours still no points.

Thought the Express Card was a WP thing, not an SG thing (happy to be corrected though).

Points crediting isn't consistent. In the last 3 months I've had them credit within 24 hours and others take 24-48.

Did you try and stop the Hot Choc trolley?

I think you are suffering from jet lag - you're expectations are IMHO unreasonable - what were you expecting flashing lights and balloons on landing with your new found WP status?
Points and SCs normally seem to appear later the same day or in some cases the next day

What 'improvement' are you meaning? If you get your 1400 SC's, you get WP it's quite simple (and flights don't credit instantly, and you do not get benefits for the flight you're on that qualifies you for the next tier). Some flights are not instant, they may take a while. Have some patience (it's a long w/end, and QF may be doing back end maintenance that they don't need to advise people about).

In addition, SG are not entitled to express cards in economy. That is a WP benefit (and a loosely offered one at that; i've frequently had to politely request it, although the last 12 months have had a 100% non-request success for me) and you're not yet WP (you would have had to have been WP prior to stepping on board as they use the manifest which has your status at time of departure).

QF make it clear that you need to wait 3 days before submitting a points claim request for their own flights, so it's inferred that you need allow 72 hours prior to your arrival, for your points to claim.

The only real complaint I can see here is that you missed out on the hot chocolate (which I must admit, is damn good in coach!).

Express cards are for WP's so if SG's have received them before it has been a bonus over and above the published benefits. :)

QF has always been pretty good with crediting points for me it has been up to 48 hours on the odd occasion but mainly within 24-36 hours. My best has been within an hour or so of touching down.

If I have been "forgotten" during a drinks service I find that pressing the call button and being very polite normally results in the desired outcome. :)

If you're a QF shareholder you should probably be more angsty over the share price going through the floor, than you are about missing a hot chocolate and not getting points credited to you the moment you stepped on the plane. IMO.

That's not true., i am a member of QFF since 12 years and it has been improved to year to year and i travel nearly 24 international flights so i know what i am talking about.
Regarding my jet lag, thank you i am very well and keep your flashing lights and other comments like that.

So you mean they gave me an Express Card since 2 years just because i was smiling ?

So what impact has the lack of flights posting to your account had on you? Do you have another int'l flight today/tomorrow that you could have used your WP status?

My flights this week posted 2 - 3 days after flying and that has meant that my bonus 50K points won't post for a while now as I have should have hit 2,420 SCs - do you see me ringing to complain?

I was also unaware that there even was a hot chocolate option - I have never been offered it in J...

I have checked it many times and my SC were credited on my account on my arrival airport and i don't think QANTAS ever gave me benefits i should not received.
I have contacted regarding a problem of booking on their website it was not possible to book a flight between NOU and HKG, after 3 months they have fixed it. I have booked a ticket on N class from NOU to LAX (like i do it since 2 years) and they said it's not an upgradable ticket (so ok N is not an upgradable class) but when you book it online there is a detail telling me IT IS UPGRADABLE. So after 6 email, they finally admitted they had a problem. How do you call that ???

Yes - it is not a published benefit...

As for the posting, yes QF are pretty good with posting of their own flights, it doesn't always happen. Cool your burners, and wait the 3 days to see if you need to put a claim in.

Flights that posted in 48 hours instead of the normal period of within the first 24 hours wouldn't be a reason for me to swap carriers. They are not exactly immune from similar criticism...

Possibly.

I've frequently had an SG ask me 'what's all that for?' when offered an express card (I mentioned it was a frequent flyer thing, and they have mentioned they're gold etc).

If you've had one *every* time as an SG, i'd be surprised as it's definitely not the norm.

And according to the QF Website, N class fares are not upgradeable.

Yes i had another flight after ! And when i asked a guy at the lounge to check if my luggage were on the other flight he said it's not the procedure. I told him i don't really care about their procedure i was asking him something it was so hard to do it i think. I am in SYD every month and this is the first time i received a such answer.
If you consider you are happy that's ok but i will shift to SINGAPORE AIRLINES or EMIRATES because they REALLY take care about their customers.
When i buy all my tickets for me (30% more expensive than Virgin Atlantic) and all the staff of my company i expect more than that.

Virgin Atlantic or Virgin Australia?

As for Emirates...I don't necessarily agree with you on that one.

Did you read my post before replying ?
Try to book from NEW CALEDONIA a flight in N to LAX and IT IS WRITTEN UPGREADABLE

No need to be narky.

I have just posted what is posted on the QF website (It is the same on both the New Caledonia QF site and the Australian QF Site)

Not sure what you mean here. If you were on a connecting flight and your bags were tagged to their final destination, you need to collect them upon the first port you arrive in (and clear customs in) in Australia, and re-check them. I'll give you the benefit as i'm assuming English is not your first language, but please don't let displeasure at the way you perceive QF has treated you stop a properly constructed argument.

In the OP's defence, there were some issues with certain segments booking into N class when it was listed as a Super Saver fare (not Red-e Deal). QF were going to fix this (clearly there was an issue here for the OP).

One of the most funny things I've read on AFF in ages!! QF is a dream after my "battles" with SQ! (in F and J class too!)
