One of the most funny things I've read on AFF in ages!! QF is a dream after my "battles" with SQ! (in F and J class too!)
And in addition, vote with your feet, don't just voice your disapproval in here (although you'll never *ever* find me on an SQ or EK service, for totally different reasons to not getting a hot chocolate though ;)).

The good news is by you choosing SQ is that it's one less WP DYKWIA flog clogging up the lounge and taking up space in the upgrade process.

As for Emirates...I don't necessarily agree with you on that one.

VIRGIN ATLANTIC. their business class is a real one.
I use business class from SYD to HKG every month and the 747 still have a non flat bed

Chill out man and as drewbles rightly points out, we don't really want to hear your whinging. If you're not happy with the service you get from any provider, suck it up or use someone else.
 
I'm sure that based on how important you are, SQ will drop everything and finally launch that new direct flight you deserve.
Direct from New Caledonia to SIN, and EK are chomping at the bit likewise. This will save you the problems and hassles of having to take those troublesome INTERNATIONAL flights that you mutter about. As a QF employee who reads a lot of posts here and rarely comments but GET A LIFE. Yes I understand the issues QF have and I agree with many of the posts noted on this great site. I purchase all my flights not on staff rates and YES I understand that even the most simplistic things can go wrong. Like you I am platinum so again get a like mate.

I am sorry to borrow you with that but i thought it was a place to share even when it's not good. And don't tell me QANTAS is always the best.

Absolutely no intention of telling you that. Simply wanted to point out this forum is a place of information sharing and not the place for rants and whinges.
 
We are not all pro-QF here chrisopherc. I for one rarely ever fly QF international anymore, having moved all my long haul to other carriers where possible, and my domestic long haul (MEL-PER) to VA, but I keep my Platinum on both carriers.

Complain at will yes (we are a forum and we're all good at ranting) but rather than whinge, simply change where you spend your money. Then, you're happy, and the carrier you move to is happy, and no one has to hear whinging:)

Congrats on getting to Plat! I too am a fan of the Cadbury Hot Chocolate. I can never quite make it the same when I try at home! (How do they do it?)

Anyway... I've been bypassed for a drink service before too - it happens - but I'm sure that you would have been given one had you politely mentioned to the staff that you were bypassed.

Even as WPs both my partner and I have missed out on express cards. And I certainly never received one when I was Gold - lucky you!

You're also rather lucky to have had the points credit to your account once you're on the plane. Mine often take a day or several hours. So it sounds like you've really got to thank Qantas for such great service. :)
