What benefits can you get in Kimton property with ambassador status? I heard you dont get ant benefits vs full benefits of ambassador.

So I just called IHG and asked if they could extend my Ambassador complimentary weekend night and it was a resounding no.

Does anyone know as a Platinum Ambassador if I have access to the lounge and any comments on the lounge at the IC in Adelaide which is the only hotel available. If I'm allowed in does that include partner as well?

Neither Platinum, nor Ambassador, grant you access to the lounge. Doesn't mean they won't, but there is no entitlement. They may offer a discounted club room....

Usually you will only get access if you book a Club room

I have only once been granted lounge access when not booking a club room but it was a one off.IC Montreal stuffed up our reservation big time.First had to find a room-so allowed to wait in lounge.Then when we were called back to front desk found it still wasn't ready so lounge access granted for the stay.They were on a roll with a couple of other snafus which got us brekkie every day in the restaurant then $C100 F&B credit.

No level will get you entry. You must book a club room. I am Spire Elite Ambassador and I get nothing

Thanks - not like the Hilton then. The only available hotel in Adelaide before the end of October is the IC and I've stayed there before and don't really want to do it again.

No completely different. Apart from the BOGO the ambassador’s a bit of a waste especially for us in Australia

I decided not to renew my ambassador and keep getting emails reminding me that it has expired and today got another email extending it for another month and offering 15000 points if I renew - still not worth it

Can start a new thread if needed, but I was reading this article about spire extension on ambassador purchase. Does anyone have experience of this?

By some rough calcs, the bonus points on stays will come close to covering the 40k cost of ambassador. If the 25k spire elite bonus applies, then I'll be well in the black.

I will wait until Dec, but am expecting that IHG will not follow Honors/ALL with a blanket extension.

So today i go to buy 250,000 IHG points to get the 100% bonus offer in their email and their site only allowed 100,000 limit. Tried to do it in 3 goes but that did not work….They offered and i wanted to accept as those 500,000 points would have been at 0.5 cents US.

Ambassador has worked for me so a no brainer. Great when booked through Virtuoso with always a 2 grade upgrade of rooms and mostly loung access.
