IHG Q1 promo

I'm new to IHG and have just been comped Platinum from VFF. I've previously dismissed hotel loyalty schemes as I'm not away all that often, but there do seem to be a lot of points on offer with this promotion

Does anyone know if booking into 2 hotels on the same day would fulfil staying in 2 different brands (I understand that 2 bookings on the same day will only earn points on one). I was trying to find the most cost-effective way of snagging the effective 35K points on offer for doing so

Each hotel program does have its quirks, and its benefits!

The dash board is likely to take a while to pick it up, given I also have that option and I am already a member, I am sceptical it will automatically post.

I emailed and complained and they told me to be patient and read the terms of the contest, haha.

Free night was bookable easily online using the link on your ihg my account homepage.

Just noticed I was awarded 1,000 pts in the intothenights promotion for an award stay made on 7 January even though the promotion ended 31 December. Maybe we will get lucky if signed up to Dining Rewards prior to the promotion.

That promo should have been called never ending nights, what an absolute IT stuff up. Fortunately some of the stuff ups favoured the customer.

I joined IHG while Into The Nights was still running back in December. I never received an email, welcome or otherwise, even to invite me to the new Set Your Sights promo (as others have in this thread). That's a little strange. I'm now waiting for my complimentary Gold membership via VA to kick in from 2 weeks ago and wonder if I'll get an email from IHG.

Have to say, the T&Cs of both promotions I've seen are extremely vague.

Yes I found the link so now I know.

Disappointing this isn't integrated into the App because that's where I do a lot of my searches on rates and the like. if it popped up as an option that would be useful. I mean they have a section to redeem "digital rewards" so I was kind of looking under there and stuff. Hopefully this is going to be a future feature. Now I know to look on the full site

10,000 points just posted for joining Dining Rewards. Bonus as I joined 4 months prior to start of promotion.

I noticed the 10k points too which was good. Still no physical package or card though has arrived here.... which I presume there is as DR doco says something about having some sort of credit loaded on your card(?) anyone able to shed some light on that?

as an aside re set your sights... a bit annoyed because IHG buggered up crediting a stay - I'd booked on the app for a stay in AKL which credited as a non qualifying stay for some reason. I put in a request to have it fixed and noted specifically it was booked via the app.. they replied in a couple of hours and apologised and fixed up the stay credit, but it doesn't show on the set your sights site as a stay booked on the app despite another aspect of the stay crediting (F&B spend/foreign country stay) (I had one other correctly credit). I've booked a few others on the app so hopefully one of those credits, but it's pretty annoying.
Wish they had their act together!

It took 4 weeks for the SYS site to register that I had downloaded the app. I was given 500 goodwill points when I queried it befofre it had credited

It took ~6 weeks from date of booking and ~4 weeks from date of stay for the app bookings to he credited to Set your Sights. The Resort stay still hasn't credited ~6 weeks later.

Only 4 nights and $86 on food beverages to go.
