IHG Q1 promo

Didn't get an answer on Flyertalk and probably won't get an answer here either.

It would appear I have shot myself in the foot.

Were the terms and conditions of the Holiday Inn Resort stay always 3 nights? That condition is there now. Not sure how I missed that condition back in December. I have tried looking for cached pages on internet without success.

Can only confirm that I had a similar offer and it was always 3 nights for me - but I did not register straight away so it could possibly be the case that the terms were not complete and correct on launch - wouldn't be the first time IHG has had unclear or incomplete T&C's.

I'm sure because it made my whole set of challenges not worthwhile versus just buying points during a promo period.

I tried the wayback machine and couldn't find anything.

The 3 night condition stands out now. I don't believe it was there in the beginning as I wouldn't have tried to achieve the promotion.

Oh well. I will make sure to look closely next time and take a copy of the webpage.

My partner registered ( well, I did it for her ... ).

We had a three night HIX & and a one night HI stay in Istanbul ( part of Gallipoli trip ), and within a week, the full 50,500 points posted.

Actually totaled some 59,000 points all up for four paid nights - at an average of $AUD100. a night !!! ( plus, needed $US100. spend on food )

Best result I've ever had with IHG promos ...

Worked well for me. By the time I'd stacked Set Your Sights, Mrrebates/ebates, Diners and the normal platinum points, I had a pretty good haul for 4 (reimbursed) nights

From the email I recently received ( as an AMB Member ), it seems that this quarter's promo is merely a '30% off' with an additional 5% off if you are an IHG Rewards Member.

So, no real 'points' to work towards, just a total of 35% discount ( off Best Flexible Rate, of course ... )
