I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

Currently WP but unemployment sees cutback to WG. Its a tough life. However Qantas changes to OneWorld rewards is seeing me leave this FF program.

Will be me in 4 weeks (WP to SG drop, not the unemployment bit hopefully) due to a new role.

Like you the "Simpler & Fairer" changes will see me pretty much give up chasing QF points/status.

Ditto. I was one of the lucky ones whose year ended in March, so I went back to zero the same week they announced the changes.

I haven't been anywhere in those 2 months, so I've had plenty of time to weigh up my options and decide whether to stick with QF at all.

Long story short, QF's attempt to force loyalty has backfired monumentally and pushed me towards Velocity. VA suits me fine for Domestic and TT flying right now, and if I ever do credit to QF's program in the next 18 months it'll be via cheap status runs on OW partners.

I'll do enough by 'Simplification Day' to remain at least PS until March 2016 (deliberately flying OW partners), and that's it. No more sadness at seeing my credits wiped!

Well the drop did not occur. Just noticed Status assessment date changed from 30 June 2014 to 30 June 2015:). So I hold on to my WP-ness (that doesn't read well does it? :p:p) for another year and QP for two. Not that it will mean much when the travel has all but dried up in the immediate future. Will mean a nice meal & shower at CX's Wing Lounge this Dec.

That's excellent news, it's good when QF get things right :)

Mrs nonpop had her ones cleaned out ... 1550 SCs and she thinks she doesn't travel much i.e just tags along with me to the occasional holiday.
I think she did ok for a job that has zero travel.

My 1859 SC are wiped tonight. 1849 on QF metal, 98% discount economy, 95% self funded and 75% on Dash 8 (just rough guesses).
I started my year as Silver, went to Gold in November, and made it to Platinum in February.
As I'm now unemployed my new bookings are very restricted and I'm not expecting to reach that level ever again. It certainly has been fun and I get to enjoy the fruits of my labour for another 12 months, including my first F flights booked for March & April 2015.

Interesting the number of OP that are rejecting Qantas FF status levels. I have a good international run upcoming that would have gone OW. But due to Qantas FF changes this is going to the best provider.

Do you hear Dash 8 roar in your ears as you sleep :?: . That's a very hard way to get to WP :(.
