I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

Yes it was very sad to lose my 1590 SC's. However, after earning the overwhelming number of my sc's in domestic Y, (including a miserable 15 status credits on JQ on Melbourne to Cairns run) I feel a bit exhausted from the whole experience. Although must say has been made easier with some very pleasant QF staff and those "nice" glasses of red they occasionally offer me from the J cabin. However not sure the addiction has worn off yet.

However not sure the addiction has worn off yet.
It never wears off - I can come back from a long trip totally worn out and vowing I am happy to be at home for awhile. However it only takes a trip out to the airport to drop some ankle biter off and the addiction takes over again....

An enhancement that will go on giving? Not likely!:(.
It's not all bad.

Airfares are low and I can still fly Qantas, take my clubs with me to Thailand (probably cheaper than a JQ return), earn SCs and maintain Platinum.

I went to zero from 2450 on 31 Aug. By the time I hit LHR tomorrow evening I'll have re-qualified WP on SCs. By the time I get home on 16 Oct, I'll only need one more squiggle to lock it away until 31 Aug 2016 :).

The tally for my DONE5 booked under old rules and completed last Thursday has come in for all sectors.

It shows a total of 1520 SC, vs 1660 that my pre-trip calculations indicated.

QF picked up on the 20 owed for SYD-DFW on QF (old 200; new 180) and manually adjusted that. The biggest loss was LHR-HKG on CX (80 instead of 160) and HKG-MEL on CX (60 instead of 120).

The only other shortfall was DFW-SFO on AA in A (90 instead of 120); however, offsetting that was a gain to 150 from 120 on AA in A SFO-JFK.

Bottom line is that the total is more than sufficient to maintain WP (as a SFSC, I have no prospect of going P1, and I'm highly unlikley to go Additional Privileges this year) and I'm already LTG, so I don't know that I'll bother phoning QF to get adjustments made.

I can fully relate to this - I guess being LTG does tend to make one less concerned about 60 or so non QF SC's, especially if it won't make much difference overall.

As an example, I already have enough forward bookings to re-qualify WP in my next "year" then found I needed to book a flight to AKL - I had a $100 odd 'voucher' to use.

I was trying to find reasons not to book on QF as the 20 SC's won't help with qualification, nor with any 'loyalty' bonus. In the end, I did book on QF as I had to use the voucher eventually and I will get a pre-flight meal at MEL T2.

Nice job there!

Wish I could fly that much/those routes!

And 2640 SCs were wiped at the end of Nov. The end of my WP1. Still it was a very good travel year and most importantly LTG is locked in.

Already have two ~ and 20 SCs for the new membership year.

My credits expire as of midnight tonight, just short of gold :(

Only recieved 45 SC over the last 2 days for flights on the weekend (non status run).

I'm currently tonight sitting on 2360 SC , with another 40 SC to post in the coming days from a recent flight.
So all being well I will be able to get partner gold in the coming days :)

2014 has clearly been my best year flying & sadly this gets all Wiped tonight which is all so sad.

But all is not lost, 2015 is looking like I should ( touch wood ) maintain QFF platinum with already 500 SC booked for the first three months of 2015.

The perils of AFF have made me addictive to chasing those all important SC's.

May I take this opportunity in wishing everyone a happy 2015 & hope your year gets off with a bang :)

2014 was a very great year for collecting QFF points and QF SC, but from end of Mar 14, it all went downhill.
That end of Mar was the starting point, or ending point if you must, of the higher earn rates for QFF points and QF SCs.
After that date, as we all know, QFF points and QF SCs earn were reduced, on the cheaper rigid non flex Y fares.
15 SC for ADL to SYD in the past, and for bookings up to Mar 14, then it became the same for ADL to MEL.
I could have kept PS quite easily if the Jul 14 changes wasnt brought in, but because I dont run a business, I will probably drop back to NB in about 24 months time.
SCs getting wiped is one thing, SC earn rate being so low as they are is worst.
For Coles, you could have done a one way J somewhere, $$$ as it might be, but if you don't have QP membership, SG would have made up for that. Pity though that were only a few so short to 700!
Maybe pay for AFF Gold and get discounted QP from here.

My status reset yesterday also and shows 12/15 expiry..I didn't requalify though.

Others have warned the status takes a few days to update and not to get too excited...
