Sorry - some of us are far too cheeky to let these goFair play, could have been more specific!
How do you manage two guests? In the SYD FLounge now. Able to guest one if flying One World, or 2 if you happen to also be flying on JL52.
DejaBrew and DejaBrew + 1 both flying F on JAL. We both had the ability to guest a +1 flying on JL52. If flying OW, then I’m WP and can therefore guest 1.How do you manage two guests?
This is a bit of a complex one.DejaBrew and DejaBrew + 1 both flying F on JAL. We both had the ability to guest a +1 flying on JL52. If flying OW, then I’m WP and can therefore guest 1.
Thanks @henrus. So if I understand you correctly, you're saying that we could have guested in a +1 each provided they were flying on another OW flight number? This is a bit of a complex one.
Oneworld rules allow a first class passenger to bring a guest in provided the guest is also flying a oneworld marketed and operated flight, this doesn't need to be the same flight.
Because the lounge is QF operated your WP status trumps the above and allows you to bring a guest who is flying on a QF flight number (could be operated by a non OW airline like FJ/SB/EK etc), a JQ flight number or a oneworld marketed/operated flight.
Yep that is correct, you both could have guested one person who was also flying on a OW flight. Thanks @henrus. So if I understand you correctly, you're saying that we could have guested in a +1 each provided they were flying on another OW flight number?
Good to know for next time.Yep that is correct, you both could have guested one person who was also flying on a OW flight.
Thanks, all clear.DejaBrew and DejaBrew + 1 both flying F on JAL. We both had the ability to guest a +1 flying on JL52. If flying OW, then I’m WP and can therefore guest 1.
