I'm in the VA Lounge thread

Don't know if they have avegan option but would not hesitate in bringing anything into the lounge without "hiding it". Sends a message....now where can I get a bacon roll and take it into the Perth lounge....šŸ˜†

Daughter and I are flying to Hobart this week (ROK-BNE-HBA) so will have a bit of time at Bris Lounge on the way (and back the next week). Can anyone tell me if there is anything vegan on offer in the BNE lounge? Daughter is vegan so I thought I'd let her know before she buys something and sneaks it in. We'll be in the lounge at Brekkie time on the way down and between 4 - 6pm on the way back. Thanks in advance šŸ˜
Menus vary based on time of day but there are usually vegan options available. Don't depend on anything substantial though as you may get unlucky with the rotation.

BYO food/non-alcoholic drinks into the lounge is generally accepted so you shouldn't need to "sneak" anything in.

re sneaking stuff in - she was stopped bringing outside food in before but it was probably due to covid stuff. Yer I know about different menus for diff parts of the day hence mentioning what times we'd be there. And yeah even if there is a vegan option at the time - doesn't mean it's something she'd like!! We'll probs do the go in and check and then she goes out and buys herself something. She's always happy with the beers though! :pšŸ»

In SYD VA lounge until 1640 (or until VA660 boards). Can guest 2.

Penne pasta (vego), corn & chicken soup, cheese, crackers, dips & veggies on offer. Grant Burge Merlot, Tatachilla Shiraz Cab and two other whites on offer

where did the printer in SYD go? Aargh.

(separately, breakfast was well-done poached eggs and sweetcorn succotash).

That awkward moment when you arrive at CBR airport at 4:25 am, 35 minutes before security opens. (Allowed too much time due to no-show taxi bookings in the past.)

Will be able to guest three when I make it to the lounge! (Flight to SYD at 6:05 am.)

Just wanted to know if premium entry at SYD is still only open between 5am and 8am on weekdays? Or have they also opened ot for the afternoon peak?

In the BNE lounge for the next 20 minutes, can guest 2. Breakfast is scrambled eggs or baked beans, and they look a bit short-handed this morning...coffee crew run off their feet.

PS the sparkling water tap is also broken šŸ˜Ŗ

BNE Lounge is pretty busy this morning, when we walked in at 9.50am there were only a few clean tables left near the entrance and the food was pretty much gone, although they are replacing now. Scrambled eggs and baked beans here, the pancake machine is broken :(

Never had this happen to me before... Checked in at the lounge in SYD tonight, they didn't issue me a boarding pass and didn't think anything of it as I'd use my digital boarding pass.

Arrived at the gate at boarding time and the boarding pass button was greyed out. I inquired about it at the service desk and they told me I had missed check in. It created a bit of a hassle as the staff had to override the system to enable me to board.

I mostly check-in at the lounge for my flights and I've never had the lounge staff not check me in for my flight, I guess this is something to be weary of for those who check in at the lounge...

You mean to say that you don't do OLCI at T-48??
I'm usually travelling peak times in golden triangle, I never get op-ups when checking in at t-48, I've had 2 this year at lounge check in at T-45 minutes
