New menus are in the offering according to AusBT, in the VA lounges.
So there might still be some hope for VA lounge food yet, now, if only the VA rep can get PER airport authorities to take off the opaque covering that covers PER VA lounge, I will be happy!
But I am not game to say it too loudly!

In the MEL lounge this morning around 7:10am there is one staff at the two large coffee machines, serving a long line of weary early travellers in desparate search of caffeine.

Average of one cup about every 2:30 mins, no wonder the line is out the door and most lounge members give up ...

have not been there for a while but they used to have 2 to 4 staff manning the 2 machines

Was grabbing a coffee two weekends ago and there was two staff on duty, however one was taking orders while the other made the coffees... and was just to quick for his colleague. Line for 25+ deep on a Saturday morning.

Was there again last weekend same time...and just didn't bother.

After my caffeine deprived snark at the MEL lounge lack of coffee service I was very pleased with the assistance (and coffee) provided in ADL on arrival.

Somehow the Plat line had not actually changed the date of my next flight despite my call, their agreement that seats were available and (as it turned out) notes made in my booking. So, despite the fact that the notes record "system errors" which meant the booking didn't change, no one rang and told me. It was only me looking at my Velocity account that noticed the issue... Hence I raised it with the ADL lounge on arrival (no time in MEL due to slow coffee line). Thanks to the ADL staff for a great response... Still took >30 mins to unpick the Plat line mess.

I'm in the Brisbane lounge. the Pancakes have turned to picklets LOL, but still got the taste approval fro the youngest traveller. Someone was looking for the bacon an eggs but just the normal fare o a Sunday apparently.

With the newish extension, MEL was very empty looking last night.... nice change though, so not complaining
