I'd suggest that around 80%+ of all WP's & WP1 are doing it with someone else's money:!: .......reckon I've underestimated that number by a good 10%.

That could be correct.
I am about to make WP first time ever.
ALL my flying is at my own cost. It's a hard slog but worth it ( I hope)

Seems like you and I will have a beef on two fronts then. Most miners and minors are reasonable lounge participants/users. The miners look a little scruffy but generally they don't cause a problem. Whereas the minors it comes down to the parents. As with every demographic you get a few bad eggs.

Actually I don't care either way - just a bad attempt at a word pun!

I only travel for leisure, so midweek at 11.00am it's often just me and the grey nomads in the lounge.

We're the same - all SF'd. However, for the first 4 years of WP & WP+ it was all on another's company tab.

Another SF'd Plat of quite a few years standing.
The early years all done the hard way, with long haul Y, upgraded with points, where possible, an occasional paid J long haul, and lots of domestic Y.
A bit easier these days, for a range of reasons, not the least of which is the gems gleaned on this forum.
