A week ago I was able to grab a lax-syd via bne business class award seat for Sept (flying on a sunday night)..... nothing was available for ages and then wham-o it appeared....
as previously mentioned, you just have to keep looking :)

to be honest I feel like I have won lotto....

It was done two days ago. I suspect it's there way of not trying to let people think they aren't missing out something as it *never* existed...trying to get us into their new way of thinking...

The fact that there is no means to search for actual Award seats without seeing Any Seat redemptions is something that Virgin should focus on - the change they have made here helps no one.

If anyone is poking around and see availability syd/bne - lax mid / end of June and return middle end of July in J could let me know would be awesome!!!

the website is soooooo bad.... for a brief moment I actually saw some Business Reward seats this morning. Gone now. I'm not convinced someone booked them though I think the website just hid them.

I've observed this twice in the last 24 hours and on different days in the same period.

Ok people!

Va has just released a slab of business reward seats for end of November

As of 12pm 11 Feb:

For VA1 business reward seats:

x3 24/11
x3 29/11
x3 30/11
x3 01/12
x3 06/12

Looks like x2 PE on these dates too

Similar for VA7

Nothing after 06/12 ....for now...

Appreciate the heads up. I have LAX-NRT-SIN-MEL SQ J booked at the moment for 12th Janurary but if I could swing this I'd be happy.

Problem is I've got 100k sitting in my VA account and don't really want to move anymore across.

Yes you are right - reason it was greyed out was my points balance was lower than that required

Overall good availability!!! Even Qantas does not allow x4 (usually 2 per cabin + plats can request extra)

And VA reward availablilty is same for Red FF and Plat FF

Its great availability, for me who is after the elusive 4 together!Long may it last.
Funnily enough Qantas have a few days of 4 xJ in January at the moment SYD-BNE-LAX

I was searching for ages,BRI-LAX and all was showing was premium economy so i booked it return. Then a week later i noticed business reward was suddenly available so i cancelled my booking online and tried to book but the system keeps you on the booking for 72 hours so it kept saying i already have a booking on this flight.

Called up the call centre the next day when they opened and it just dissapeared and wasn't available. So had to wait another 2 weeks before another one became available.
Funny thing is i was keeping track of how many seats were left and there was no difference between when i started looking and when the seat dissapeared and then reappeared so I have no idea how they operate their system.

for a couple of months I have been looking at BNE>DUB or LON in July and cost for Reward Saver 125000 points plus tax return, and plenty of spots available on every flight choice every day.,
I look today and there is no Reward Saver flights heading to old blighty between now and late September at all, and the cost in points is now at least double that.

Is this normal for Virgin, do they ever add reward saver seats back in?

I think it's not so much that they add reward sites back in, but they do seem to continually break and then eventually fix their IT systems, so availability is very much a moving target!

Ok thats encouraging somewhat. Does ringing them help, or will they only see same availability as me?
thanks

When this has happened to me in the past they only saw what I could see. But that doesn't mean the same thing has happened this time.

@QuickStatus - Noobie question. Am I correct in reading that you found 4 Business Class seats from Sydney to Los Angeles for 376,000 points?
