Is there anything else that can happen to me?

After seeing the doctor on Friday and in a lot of pain I spent Friday night and Saturday in the hospital ER again with suspected pancreatitis. They did a whole lot of blood tests in hospital and I do not have pancreatitis and it would appear that the recovery from the virus is almost complete.

I was pain free until last night when my back/spine/ribs started to hurt and caused further abdominal pain. I have been pain free again today and will see the doctor this evening. Perhaps these pains are just a result of not having methotrexate for the past 6 weeks.

Anyway glad to be up and about relatively pain free and my liver has almost recovered from the effects of the virus. Now to decide when to return to work but I may end up taking that cancelled/postponed trip to Thailand next week for a change of scenery before returning to work. :D

Well that's good news. Maybe Thailand and some golf would be good for you before heading back to work, perhaps the work would be better to get back into a routine. Either way, good to hear things are improving.

Trip and accommodation have been booked. I feel guilty going away but I definitely need a break before I can return back to work.

Anyway I feel much better now and after having some x-rays earlier today these were handy in revealing some other issues I have been having recently.

Appears that I have had a full recovery from the virus but one thing that scares me is that the immune system does not actually remove the virus from the body but rather the virus stays inactive in the central nervous system. Scary but hopefully I have seen the last of this virus....
