"Island Dining" in the Domestic J lounges: Tips, Timing & Menus

That is YOUR opinion - you state "no idea about food" - in MY opinion that statement is rubbish. There's a lot more to the world that that which may revolve around the OPINIONS of just one person.
Of course there is a lot more to the world than one persons rubbish opinions.

Ahhhh ... but it depends upon whose opinion is that one persons opinion is rubbish ... of course another person may have a completely different opinion on whether the opinion of the other person is indeed rubbish ot not.

Lets just say that it's a reasonable idea to respect the right of others to have a different opinion as to whatoyou may have and not simply slate the other persons opinion as rubbish merely because it differs from the opinion of yourself.

Back on topic: Here's my post of the item I referred to that surprised me:
In MEL this evening. Didn't read to well or look much, but is excellent.

Vietnamese beef noodle soup

Nicely the chilli is optional. Not something I would normally choose but tasty.

Not much beef - one large slice that needs to be cut and quite short cut noodles which aren't easy to eat.

Taste beats inconvenience though...

Ok so I just had this soup in the Melbourne J lounge and while it was nice it certainly wasn't as good as some of the 'local' places in Marrickville in Sydney. But I did certainly enjoy it! Chilli and all! :)
Either way, what is more annoying is when people who are sitting at the Island Dining area and are not 'Island Dining'..... grrr it annoys me...only one Island out of 3 was set up for dining.... which is fine... but don't sit there if you intend to flop your laptop out or your iPad and munch on the buffet! Go and sit on the other 'Non Island Dining' islands....

I think people in general are very rude and selfish.

Is that any different to someone sitting at the desktop areas reading a newspaper? Or using their own laptop with the desktop unused making it impossible for those without?

That may be the case.. but let's be real here, it's a "suggested" usage type for the area. It's now law, we're not in school anymore where we have to abide by the rules... while it's nice to think this is the case, unfortunately human behaviour will always state there is 0 chance of the perfect world!

There is also common sense. If there is a desktop sittng there then it is a good chance someone wants to use it. Find another spot to read the newspaper.

Am I the only one that considers others?

I agree.... probably, no one else seems to. My attitude these days is to just give up and move on .. there's bigger fish to fry!

Always available in BNE J lounge, always have one :)
I'm also a fan of these. Good to get them when they are fresh as the hollandaise does not age well and can go dry. Mushrooms on the side and I am J Lounge happy.
