Jetstar Delay in posting points and SC's

As another reference point, the points and SCs for JQ1 on 22 December posted the next day. Meanwhile other flights took much longer (and require manual intervention from QFF).

Interestingly (and I remember this was mentioned in a previous thread), I booked JQ1 without logging into my JQ profile and the points and SC posted soon after (my FF number is printed on the boarding pass). All my JQ flights were booked using my JQ profile and these flights do not post on time. I have booked another trip without my JQ profile for February and see how it goes.

Maybe this is the trick.....

Very interesting idea! I'm sure all my recent bookings were done by logging into my JQ profile then booking. Likewise next time I will try without logging in!

Something else I have noted....my QFF # has never appeared on my boarding pass. My daughter and I took the same 3K flight in October, her BP did have her QFF #, and it posted points within a day or so, but mine 13weeks later still has not. Another interesting thing I note, is that where my JQi/3K points post quickly, my BP has the letters "QFFP" as one of the listed "options" or states "Frequent Flyer", whereas the ones I've had to follow up do not.

I had a JQ flight from MEL-NTL fail to post from 9th Dec.
I did the online claim and still nothing.
Emailed the BP and itinerary 2 days ago and the points and SC have now posted.
My BP had "QFFP" on it . I called prior to my email and was advised by the agent on the QFF desk that there is a known lengthy delay at the moment with some JQ flights posting. Due to the back log for on line claims the quickest way to get it processed was emailing them, so I did.

I usually email my BP, but this time for JQ1 the detachable coupon was removed at the gate and the rest of the BP with the "D" sticker was "confiscated" by the security/quarantine agent in MEL:(

I have asked a gate agent once to keep my boarding pass stub but she said that they need to retain it for 'reconciliation purposes'. Since then, if I am on a domestic JQi flight, I take a photo of the boarding pass with my phone and keep it until the points have been posted (I am sure this idea was also posted in another thread a while ago).

I simply use my 'phone to record an image of the BP - more than once I have needed to email said image as part of a claim.

My QFF account is showing 70sc required to Platinum
- I am waiting for JQ4 8/3 SC and points to post (35sc)
- I put in an online claim waited 2 weeks nothing in my account
- called late last week (Wed or Thurs) so emailed the boarding pass in

My Parter needs 55 SC for platinum
- JQ3 (27/2) and JQ4 (8/3) both failed to post for him (70 sc - so technically he is now platinum)
- I put an online claim for his JQ3 on about the 1st of March when I saw my points posted but his did not
- I put an online claim for his JQ4 in at the same time as mine
- when I spoke to the call centre she couldn't give me specific information on his account but she said that she would lodge my online claim because she couldn't see it and then she would do his, followed by a its ok (which implied to me his had been received but mine had not

I need to fly somewhere to get the 5 extra SC I will need for platinum (we have flights to ADL in May for 30 sc) which I will book for as son as I can really

- my concern is that the delays mentioned here are too long for me to wait
- 13th May we go to America with my parents and while gold is good, platinum is better and given that we have enough SC for my partner to be Platinum and my 5 short but happy to fix I need to make sure these post before we go

How can I make sure we don't have to wait 8 weeks or 13 weeks or more for these JQ Sc's??

My initial goal was silver for the guest pass to the lounge at the airport.
Then we got gold and its complimentary anyway but Now I can't think of anything better than being able to surprise my parents with entry into the First Class lounges - but this can only happen if myself and my partner both get to platinum... and without the Jetstar HNL flights posting we wont get it.. theres not enough time for us to take the extra flights needed to get those additional sc's - plus I don't feel like earning them again..

* apologies - I do need to work on how to be concise *

Hi Shellthom,

If tagged correctly Jetstar now credits in 7 days. Double check at bag drop or check-in that your FF # is attached by collecting your boarding pass using your FF card at the airport checkin kiosks rather than using OLCI or SMS boarding pass.

If you want the status credits and points urgently then send in boarding pass plus itinerary email showing the plus bundle fare type and a copy of your invoice to QFF service centre and they can credit in under 48hrs.

:)

Hi thanks for the help.
I'm not sure what went wrong with my partner getting nothing but I think the flight home was my specifically requesting the agent to confirm my partners QFF number was in the booking. We couldn't do the kiosk check in at Hawaii.
I will see how it goes next week with the points posting, given the public holidays ill wait a little more than the 48 hours but I will have to chase it down next week if we don't have them by then.

Will follow those tips for all future travel - thanks again for the info :)

I've been waiting three weeks for a JQ flight to post. Not really good enough for A Qantas Group Airline.

After waiting nearly four months, with one retrospective claim and one email lodged, I was about to PM Red Roo when I received a call from QF today saying that there was some kind of Jetstar delay but my points and SCs had finally been credited. I checked my statement and confirmed this.

It shouldn't take this long but I'm glad I finally got what I paid for with the 'plus' package or whatever it was.

Apart from taking a picture of said BP , both the Syd and Mel F lounges have photocopy machines....Whenever I have a JQi BP that qualifies for QF points, I make a photocopy to aid any possible retrospective claims.

Sorry to dig up an old thread....

Recently completed 2 x 3k flights. Pleasingly both my flights, and my GF flights (only 1 flight we shared) all posted points within 3 days.

The recent issue with "mismatching" QFF # on the JQ website meant my bookings were done without logging in to the JQ website (this was the only online way I was able to enter the QFF # on the booking). This time I also added my middle name to the booking within the first name field (and our QFF# were on all the BP). Whilst not conclusive, looking back at my daughters flights where JQ/3K were flown her points always credited very quickly and her middle names are on her JQ/3K boarding passes. Those same flights we took together my middle name was not on the boarding pass. Also her QFF # was on her BP and mine was not. Previous points claims from me have similar facts, no middle name on BP and no QFF#. I am sure the QFF # not on the BP isn't the answer as other flights posting points quickly didn't have the QFF # on the BP, as others have also noted. But I'm hoping the middle name is the answer for me! I have 2 more 3K flights in Sept....will have to wait and see if that is indeed the answer.....

Hopefully that works for you, but for me, middle name or not makes absolutely no difference.

I have a query and apologise in advance for my ignorance but I've never flown Jetstar.

A friend is over in the Philippines at the moment and flew BNE-DRW-MNL. The points have posted no problem from DRW-MNL but no such joy for the BNE-DRW flight. The flight is showing with no points earn. He is certain that he paid the extra for both flights, but how would one check? He's kept his boarding passes.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think the BNE- DRW BP should have the word "Plus" or "Max" on it. In any case, the original booking confirmation should indicate if the bundle has been selected.

Thank you for the quick reply, defurax. It's really appreciated. :)

I recently flew OOL-NRT, NRT-CTS, CTS-NRT, NRT-KIX, KIX-OOL.

Flights 1, 2 and 5 all credited within a couple of days, but flights 3 and 4 have not. Flight 3 was part of our original itinerary and flights 4 and 5 were as a result of the cancellation of our NRT-OOL flight. If anything, I would have expected flight 3 to credit and 4 and 5 not to have.

I've put in manual claims for the missing flights, but are people generally finding that there are still JQ/GK flights that do not credit automatically?

I find it works better than before, although still not completely fool-proof.

I know this thread is OLD, but I was wondering if anyone had recently had any experiences with QF status coming from JQ?

Flew MEL/HNL Bus Max fare. Had the flight over credited in a couple of days, the return flight a month later still missing. Rang QFF on another matter (incorrect status awarded from bookings on the old table - which is a WHOLE other thread I suspect) and they offered to submit to JQ. A week later I rang to be told 'its still sitting there' (whatever that means) and asked to email in tix and boarding pass which I've done.

Normally I'd be less uptight about this except I am just 10 SCs off Platinum and about to fly to Europe with OW carriers and I think that since I have done the flying and earned the status, I should get the perks (particularly want to try the BA lounge in Terminal 5).

The QF team, nice as they are on the phone, seem hamstrung. I've got a couple of weeks before departure - any advice?

If you still have the boarding pass from the flight email it in to the frequent flyer email address and it should be credited fairly quickly.
