JQ608, the Tuesday 4 June 2019 scheduled 1750 hours AVV up to SYD (A320 VH-VQK) took off at 1815 with arrival suggested as 1955 hours, 40 late.
One has to feel sorry for passengers on JQ841, the 1010 hours morning PPP to SYD (VH-JQG) that did not become airborne until 1755 hours. Suggested arrival is 2010 hours, 460 minutes behind schedule. It looks like this plane had to undertake a rescue mission as it ferried as JQ7992 to PPP, arriving at 1715 hours.
A320 VH-VFL had earlier operated JQ840, the 0710 hours SYD - PPP, arriving at 1002 hours, 22 late. It looks to still be there. In addition to any problems with the plane, the crew may well have run out of hours or even gone back to SYD on the relief plane, so that might create a further delay.
As these JQ flights do not operate daily, is it possible JQ might have to have a crew fly to MKY when the aircraft was repaired (if that's the problem) and then send them by road to PPP? Or would a BNE-based crew just come up on the six day a week JQ830?
