Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

Looks like 3 down. I assume possibly already pre planned. 2 in Singapore for engineering and 1 in Korea for wing paints. But no ability to have a spare on the side. One appears to be on the ground in DPS also since yesterday.

Also on Friday 3 March 2023, JQ29, the 1000 hours MEL-BKK (B788 VH-VKK) was in the sky at 1122, so arrival should be about 41 late at 1551 hours.

A321 VH-OFP, the 2230 hours SUnday 5 March DPS-MEL (JQ36) did not take off until 0125 hours on Monday 6, so arrival should be 0943 hours, 148 minutes behind schedule. JQ35, its previous flight, was similarly late yesterday despite the aircraft having a generous turnaround in Melbourne.

The HKT to MEL JQ18 has B788 VH-VKJ with this 2140 hours flight having become airborne last night at 2243 hours, meaning this morning's arrival becomes a suggested 1052 hours, 47 late.

JQ970 from MEL last night, the 2310 hours redeye was not airborne until 0018, arriving at 0109 hours, 59 minutes late on Monday 6 March. A320 VH-VGF then formed JQ971, the 0100 hours that was airborne at 0210 meaning MEL arrival estimated at 0822 hours, 52 minutes late. This aircraft may well run late all morning, or even all day depending on the tightness of its roster.

Watch those last flights of the day MEL-SYD-MEL, in the last week half of these have been cancelled. The same from Avalon, that 9pm flight operating by a Sydney crew is always cancelled.

Looks like the QF website is showing a delay to JQ61, but oddly not on JQ's own flight status page... How misleading!

It appears SYD as at 1130 AEST on Easter Sunday, 9 April 2023 may be down to one runway, the east west.

JQ786 (A321 VH-VWW), the 1005 hours SYD-MCY was in then queue for takeoff as at 1135 hours, so is more than an hour late.

As Sunday morning is not peak period, delays on other flights may not be bad, but if the restrictive working continues, may build as the day wears on.

A320 VH-XNP on JQ106, the mid afternoon 11 April 2023 PER-DPS due out at 1450 hours was in the sky at 1606, so it should arrive at roughly 1931, 46 late.

JQ58, the identically timed departure but from DPS down to BNE has B788 VH-VKE, having taken off at 1650. Arrival on Wednesday 12 April should be at about 0007 hours, 117 minutes behind the timetable.

Saturday 15 of April 2023 sees JQ220 ZQN-MEL cancelled. JQ220 was also cancelled last night (after passengers were onboard and then were asked to deplane) passengers were rebooked as JQ7220 which was due to depart today at 16 00 but is now delayed to 20 35.

JQ64, the 2235 hours Monday 1 May SGN down to MEL redeye took off at 0059 hours on Tuesday 2. B788 VH-VKG should arrive at about 1136 hours, 106 minutes behind schedule.

Along with having to hold into SYD as at 1900 hours on Wednesday 3 May 2022, there's some other serious lateness with JDd.

JQ465, the 1550 hours BNK down to MEL wasn't in the sky until 1822, so A320 VH-VFY won't arrive until about 2021, 131 minutes behind schedule.

Worse is VH-YXT on the 1405 hours CBR up to BNE JQ657 that was airborne exactly five hours later. Expected arrival becomes 2034 hours, 289 minutes tardy.

VH-VGI on the 1735 hours MEL-SYD took off at 1827 (about 30-35 late) with arrival likely at around the 1945 hours mark, 45 late as at 1915 hours it was holding above Yass NSW.

Wed 03/05 JQ822 SYD/BNE flight cancelled. Offered next day flight. Not suitable for my 88 year old dad who was already stressed about travelling.

Found two QF classic award seats and booked us on that. No offer from JQ for any QF flights yet a cancelled VA flight once founds seats on JQ!

There's fog in Melbourne as at 0800 on Saturday 13 May but I don't know how severe it is at Tullamarine.

JQ31, the 0640 hours MEL-DPS (A321 VH-OFP) took off at 0750 so estimated arrival becomes 1129 hours, 39 minutes tardy.

While the delay into Perth ended up at 41 minutes and departure delay 42 minutes, Qantas still sees Heathrow arrival holding at 0540 BST.
Any one know the delay of today's JQ29 MEL- BKK was to be 1315 but now estimated at 1620?
Pretty proud of my nephew (pilot and engineer) he is on his way to do Dreamliner simulator training for the next 4 weeks!
Maybe he should get out his spanner and duct tape ✈️

A week later on 20 May 2023, JQ29 operated by B788 VH-VKL is the 1315 hours lunchtime MEL up to BKK that wasn't airborne until 1748. Arrival should be at about 2341 hours, 241 late.

A321 VH-OFL is tracking a bit behind and to the south as JQ37 (1640 hours SYD-DPS airborne at 1723). Its arrival looks to be 34 late at 2139.

OFE is on JQ35 (1740 MEL-DPS in the sky at 1841 for a projected 2224 hours arrival, 39 minutes behind schedule.

JQ7 (Sunday 21 May's 1205 hours lunchtime MEL-SIN) is expected to depart at 1410 this afternoon.

JQ8993 has operated empty from Coolangatta down to Melbourne, with B788 VH-VKF expected to arrive 19 minutes late at 1104 hours. This may be forming the delayed Singapore.
