Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

Much later on 20 October, JQ464, the 1630 hours MEL - BNK that took off at 1717 with A320 VH-XSJ should arrive at 1913 hours, 43 late.

JQ519 (1700 hours SYD - MEL, A321 VH-VWU) is a shocker with takeoff at 2204, almost five hours late meaning arrival at 2321 hours, 286 minutes tardy. It has almost certainly substiuted for a failed A321.

The SYD - PER JQ988 should arrive at about 2307 hours, 32 down with A320 VH-VQQ.

JQ948 (A320 VH-VGI, 2050 hours from MEL up to CNS that took off at 2139) is about 36 late with expected arrival at 2346 hours.

Wednesday 25 October has JQ475 (0825 hours morning NTL down to MEL that was airborne at 0905 with A320 VH-VFO) arriving at 1037, 32 minutes late.

The 0715 hours OOL down to MEL, JQ433, took off at 0752 hours. VH-VQF, also an A320 should pull in to its designated tarmac spot at 1110 this morning, half an hour behind schedule.

Thursday 26 October sees JQ472 (scheduled 0615 hours MEL up to NTL) having had a bad start to its day with takeoff not until 0731 hours. A320 VH-VFD should arrive at roughly 0854, 69 minutes tardy.

JQ700 (0800 HBA up to MEL, A321 VH-VWZ) took off at 0817 only marginally late, but had a quite interesting pattern in its ATC-imposed hold with a 'Cook's tour' of Wonthaggi, Fish Creek and Mirboo North, so arrival has become an estimated 0946, 31 late.

The BNE - MEL second sector of JQ58 that originates in DPS has seen takeoff at 0856 hours. B788 VH-VKG should arrive MEL at around 1219, 44 minutes late.

JST476 to Newcastle (from MEL) playing chicken with a few supercells above Newcastle. Zig zagging around them the flight is likely to be delayed, and is yet to land.

Updating davidj's interesting post, JQ476 (A320 VH-VFY) landed at 1834 so it would hopefully have arrived at its tarmac area at about 1839, 39 minutes late on 26 October.

JQ523 on Thursday 26 October 2017 (scheduled 1820 hours from SYD down to MEL that was in the sky at 2002 hours with A321 VH-VWZ) should arrive at about 2125 hours, 90 minutes behind schedule.

Friday 27 October 2017 has JQ503, the 0700 hours from SYD down to MEL that did not take off until 0830 (A321 VH-VWY) arriving at approximately 0951 hours, 76 minutes late. This aircraft had been stabled in SYD since last night just after 2200 hours when it arrived more than an hour late on JQ417 ex OOL, so there must have been a difficulty this morning.

This will delay JQ432, the 1010 hours from MEL up to OOL that will be unable to depart until at least 1035 despite the generous turnaround in the timetable.

JQ506 (0915 hours MEL - SYD) is also delayed to a forecast 1040 hours in its departure.

Much later on Friday 27 October, JQ948 (2050 hours MEL - CNS that was in the sky at 2124 with A320 VH-VGZ) is expected to be at its tarmac space in FNQ at 2341 hours, 31 late.

Some serious delays today. JQ424 SYD-OOL delayed ~3 hours or more. Some technical issue earlier. Luckily I also had a booking on JQ416. ;)

On Sunday 29 October, JQ743 (1915 hours from MEL down to LST that was airborne at 1959 hours, A320 VH-VQQ) should pull in at roughly 2109 hours, 49 minutes tardy.

Monday 30 October's JQ432, the 1000 MEL - OOL (A321 VH-VWY) was not airborne until 1041, so arrival is predicted at 1141 hours, 36 minutes tardy. This aircraft had started its day in MEL punctually on JQ701 down to HBA, but lost time while on the ground, arriving MEL about 40 late on JQ700 ex HBA, so that explains the delay to the Gold Coast-bound flight.

JQ737, the Tuesday 31 October scheduled 1110 hours MEL - LST (A320 VH-VGQ) took off at 1212 so is likely to be at least 45 minutes late arriving in LST where the timetable says it should be at the airport gate at 1215 hours.

On Tuesday 1 November, JQ43, the 0955 hours morning flight from MEL to DPS is to depart at 1200 'high noon.'

Empty working JQ8992 in the form of B788 VH-VKI took off from SYD at 0945 hours and looks to be heading down to MEL so it may be the aircraft for JQ7, the 1200 'high noon' from MEL up to SIN (going by the gate numbers the BKK arrival is off to DPS, albeit late.) Perhaps one B788 in Melbourne has failed.

Quite a few aircraft have been in holding pattens approaching MEL on the morning of Thursday 2 November 2017 with JQ503 (the 0700 hours SYD - MEL that was airborne at 0741, A320 VH-VFF) not exempt. Arrival is predicted at 0911 hours, 36 minutes tardy.

Later on 2 November, JQ702 (A320 VH-VQZ, the 1020 northbound from HBA to MEL that was in the sky at 1130) should arrive at around 1243 hours, 63 minutes late. This will delay JQ474, the scheduled 1210 hours MEL up to NTL to at least 1315 in its departure.

Meanwhile JQ63 that ought have departed at 1940 on Wednesday 1 November for SGN has done so this morning (2 November) at about 1130 hours, indicating continuing problems with the B788 fleet. VH-VKH is operating JQ63.

JQ945 (1350 hours from MEL up to CNS) is expected to depart at 1510 hours.

Friday 3 November sees JQ83 from DPS to CNS (A320 VH-VQK), the 0110 hours that was in the sky at 0205 likely to arrive at 0811 hours, 31 minutes tardy.

JQ36 from DPS down to MEL is worse, with B788 VH-VKA looking like arriving at about 0946 hours, 116 minutes tardy.

Saturday 4th November. JQ7 MEL-SIN 1200- 1700ish cancelled. Moved to QF37 1730-2230ish. QF35 1200-1700ish sold out :( .
