Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

Continuing with Monday 25 September, JQ745 (0710 SYD - LST) was airborne at 0847 (A320 VH-VFL) and should arrive at about 1028, 88 late.

The SYD - AVV JQ603 should pull in to the Geelong area airport at about 0933, 58 minutes tardy.

Extensive delays are continuing into the afternoon of Monday 25 September due to the 0520 hours Sydney Airport radar failure. JQ605 (0755 hours SYD - AVV) took off at an extremely late 1259 hours, almost five hours late with suggested arrival for A320 VH-XSJ at 1431, 301 minutes late.

In turn, this will delay JQ630, the scheduled 1030 hours from AVV up to OOL until what the Avalon Airport website underestimates as 1435 hours. A more realistic departure time would have been 1505 hours, but in the end it took off at 1519 with A320 VH-XSJ landing at 1701 hours. Its next duty is JQ631, the 1235 hours from OOL back down to AVV that will also be around five hours late.

The 1330 BNE - MEL (JQ565, A320 VH-VGD) took off at a very late 1520 hours mid afternoon. Arrival should be at around 1754, 114 minutes behind schedule.

JQ438 (A320 VH-VQJ, the 1405 hours MEL - OOL that was in the sky at 1539) should arrive 88 minutes tardy at 1733 late this afternoon.

The 1430 hours HBA up to MEL (A320 VH-VQW, JQ712) was airborne at 1517; arrival should be at 1624, 39 minutes late.

JQ711 (scheduled 1450 hours MEL down to HBA, A320 VH-VFU) was airborne at 1654. Its arrival is expected at 1802, 117 minutes late.

Due to the outbound delay to JQ17 on Sunday 24 September 2017, the returning JQ18 from HKT to MEL should arrive on Monday 25 at about 1811 hours instead of 0950, 501 minutes behind schedule. B788 VH-VKE has the task. It does not appear to be forming another JQi flight today.

Delays are continuing up until nominal stumps on Monday 25 September with JQ797, the 1930 hours from MCY down to MEL (A320 VH-VFD) taking off at 2033 with arrival likely at 2318 hours, 78 minutes late.

The 1900 hours BNK down to MEL (JQ465) was not in the sky until 2135 tonight with A320 VH-VQQ. Its arrival is predicted at 2340, 155 minutes behind schedule.

JQ611 (2200 hours SYD - AVV that took off at 2228, A320 VH-XSJ) should arrive at 2357, 32 late. Earlier today this aircraft was five hours late so a return rotation may have been cancelled.

JQ744, the scheduled 1920 hours early evening arrival ex LST into MEL is more than four hours late.

Tuesday 26 September sees JQ30, the overnight BKK - MEL with B788 VH-VKL set to arrive at 1002, 32 late.

JQ972 (0715 hours MEL across to PER, A321 VH-VWT) was airborne at 0953, so arrival should be 32 late at 1002 hours.

During Wednesday 27 September's evening, JQ768, the 1510 mid afternoon SYD across to ADL that did not become airborne until 1744 is suggested as arriving at 1928, 158 minutes tardy with A320 VH-VFH.

Thursday 28 September sees JQ219 (super early morning scheduled 0515 hours MEL - ZQN, A320 VH-VGP, meaning a shocking 0300 airport wait for passengers if they had to check in then) not having taken off until 0747. Arrival is forecast at 1341 hours, 131 minutes tardy.

In further on 28 September, long flight from HNL, JQ4 (B788 VH-VKJ) is arriving at roughly 1539 this afternoon, 49 late.

JQ515, the 1350 hours SYD down to MEL took off at 1453 with A320 Vh-VQJ. Estimated arrival is 66 minutes tardy at 1631 hours.

JQ15's first leg on Friday 29 September has departed late with this 0720 hours MEL - CNS taking off at 0807 (B788 VH-VKK.) Arrival should be at 1115, 35 late but the next leg to KIX should still be able to depart on time at 1300 hours.

In further on 29 September, the OOL - ADL JQ535 (the 1535 hours) was in the sky about 10 minutes late at 1555 but adverse winds mean an 1815 hours arrival (half an hour late) is on the cards. Aircraft is A320 VH-VFD.

Flagship JQ1 (1550 hours MEL - HNL, B788 VH-VKD) took off at 1744. Same day arrival is estimated at 0809 hours, 114 minutes late. JQ2 will be delayed in its departure.

JQ605 (0755 hours SYD - AVV, A320 (VH-VQP on Tuesday 3 October) was airborne at 0835; arrival should be at 1005 hours, 35 minutes late.

VH-VGQ on the earlier scheduled 0700 hours SYD - AVV, JQ603, is far worse with the aircraft in the sky at 0847 hours. Suggested arrival is 94 minutes tardy at 1009 hours.

The DPS - TSV JQ101 is arriving at about 0837, 42 late with A320 VH-VQR.

Later on 3 October, JQ782 (1330 hours BNE - ADL, A320 VH-VGO) was in the sky at 1451. Expected arrival has become 1803 hours, 78 minutes past the allotted.

The 1410 hours afternoon OOL - MEL (A321 VH-VWQ, JQ439) took off at 1452, about 25 - 30 minutes tardy, so arrival is forecast for 1811 hours early this evening, 36 minutes late.

Wednesday 4 October has JQ920, by coincidence the 0920 hours scheduled from CNS across to DRW that took off at 1038 (A320 VH-JQL) suggested as arriving at 1242 hours, 77 minutes late.

JQ475 (0825 hours morning NTL down to MEL with A320 VH-VQH) did not become airborne until 1121, so arrival is put back until a predicted 1249 hours, 164 minutes tardy. The delay was due to the 0615 hours MEL - NTL that took off on time at 0630 hours diverting to SYD. Was there fog in NTL this morning, or did a passenger have an urgent requirement for medical attention?

VH-VQH then ran JQ707, the 1040 hours mid morning MEL - HBA that took off at 1335 with a suggested 1438 hours arrival, 163 minutes late.

JQ411 (A321 VH-VWZ, the 1220 hours lunchtime OOL down to SYD that was airborne at 1301 hours) should pull in at roughly 1523, 33 minutes behind the timetable.

JQ8, the 2100 hours Tuesday 3 October redeye from SIN down to MEL was delayed overnight and took off at 0730 hours today (4 October) with B788 VH-VKD. It had arrived yesterday on JQ7 at about 1705 in SIN, only 15 minutes late so there must have been a defect (or staff sickness.)

Arrival in MEL for JQ8 should be at 1709 hours this afternoon rather than the timetabled morning on blocks time of 0720 hours. This aircraft should then form JQ19, the 1935 hours MEL - HKT that should be able to punctually depart.

JQ974 (1520 hours mid afternoon ADL across to PER, A320 VH-VQE) did not take off until 1650 hours. On blocks time in POER should be about 1736, 21 minutes tardy.
