On Thursday 15 November, JQ432, the 1000 hours MEL - OOL took off at 1053 with arrival of A321 VH-VWT suggested as 1147 hours, 42 late.

Ta member and VA pilot, the ever helpful AviatorInsight has commented on issues at MEL in the VA thread.

On Thursday 15 November 2018, JQ570, the 2045 hours mid evening MEL up to BNE took off at 2207 hours. Arrival of A320 VH-VQA is expected at 2311, 71 late.

JQ524 (MEL up to SYD) is cuttiong it fine with the 2300 hours curfew as arrival is estimated at 2300 (the at gate, not the landing time of 2255), 40 late. Aircraft is A320 VH-VQC.

Saturday 17 November sees JQ171, the 0845 hours MEL - CHC (A320 VH-VFV) taking off at 0936 so estimated arrival has become 1442 hours, 42 late.

Late on 17 November 2018, JQ791 from MCY down to SYD (A320 VH-VFJ, the 1845 hours that was in the sky at 1931) should arrive at 2153 hours, 33 late.

Sunday 18 November finds JQ11 on its initial SYD - OOL sector , the 0850 hours not having taken off until 1045 so arrival should be at 1052 hours, 97 late. B788 VH-VKH is timetabled to depart for NRT from OOL at 1030 but that is likely to be 1200 'high noon.'

The 1050 hours MEL - SYD (JQ510) has A320 VH-VQL but was not in the sky until 1141 hours, so arrival is suggested as 1250, 35 late.

Also on 18 November, JQ797, the late afternoon 1735 hours MCY down to MEL that took off at 1915 with A320 VH-VQR should arrive 97 late at 2237 later tonight.

JQ477, the Monday 19 November scheduled 1420 hours mid afternoon NTL down to MEL took off at 1505 with A320 (as usual) VH-VFN. Arrival should occur at gate at 1635 hours, 35 late.

On Tuesday 20 November 2018, JQ478 (NTL down to MEL) is again late with A320 VH-VQP in the air at 2119 hours for a projected arrival at 2230, an hour late.

JQ797 (VH-VFV, the 1735 hours MCY - MEL) took off at 2012. Arrival should be at 2328, 148 minutes late.

these delays are likely to result from the rain that MEL received around 1600 this afternoon. One media outlet reported MEL had some 'flooding': whether this was in T2 as has occurred previously I'm not sure as I can't find the reference.

JQ563 (Thursday 22 November, the 0855 hours BNE down to MEL with A321 VH-VWU) took off at 1016 so arrival has been put back to a suggested 1328 this afternoon, 68 minutes late.

On a windy (and dusty) day in Sydney with runway 25 the sole one in use, resulting in many delays, JQ407 of 22 November 2018, the 1525 hours SYD down to AVV had yet to take off by 1616 hours, so it will be at least 45 minutes late.

The far longer JQ2 (HNL - MEL, B788 VH-VKD) should arrive at about 1645 this afternoon, 40 late.

JQ787 has A320 VH-VGI and should arrive ex MCY in SYD at 1643, 73 late.

The north-south runways reopened late on Thursday 22 November with JQ988, the 2005 hours SYD to PER (A320 VH-JQX) taking off at 2205, more than an hour and 40 late.

On Friday 23 November, JQ795, the 1225 MCY down to MEL has A320 VH-JQL and took off at 1414. Arrival is forecast for 1729, 99 minutes late.

In the opposite direction, JQ626 (scheduled at 1430 ex MEL) was airborne at 1537. Arrival should be at 1631 for A320 VH-XSJ.

JQ465 (1350 hours afternoon BNK down to MEL) took off at 1435. Arrival for A320 VH-VGO is a suggested 1643 hours, 43 late.

The 1315 hours northbound HBA up to SYD has A321 VH-VWU and was in the sky at 1534, meaning likely arrival at 1703, 123 minutes late.

JQ515 has A320 VH-VFF and is the 1330 hours early afternoon SYD down to MEL that took off at 1559. Consequently, arrival is delayed until an estimated 1714, 129 minutes late.

Also on 23 November 2018, JQ607 (A320 VH-VFX, the 1525 hours from SYD down to AVV did not become airborne until the early evening - at 1807 - meaning arrival is estimated at 1920, 140 minutes tardy.

JQ606 (1545 hours northbound AVV up to SYD) is similar, with it in the sky at 1845. A320 VH-VQJ should arrive at 2000 hours tonight, 170 late.

Also a 1545 hours but ex MEL, JQ796, bound for MCY has VH-VFF and took off at a remarkably similar 1843 hours. Its arrival is displaying as 1947, 162 late.

JQ768 SYD-ADL and JQ769 ADL-SYD cancelled.
JQ523 SYD-MEL and JQ524 MEL-SYD cancelled.

Yesterday’s JQ36 DPS-MEL flight (787 VH-VKL) departed at 0539 a huge delay of 384 minutes. Arrived into MEL today at 1322 (332 minutes late) As a result tonight’s JQ35 MEL-DPS has been cancelled as has the return JQ36 DPS-MEL

I might have missed it but JQ7 (MEL-SIN) on 21 November is showing as cancelled.

Perhaps this is one of the routes where they can easily transfer to QF flights?

JQ57, the 0720 hours BNE - DPS (B788 VH-VKF) took off on Monday 26 November 2018 at 0814 with arrival suggested as 1208, 43 minutes late. This is the seventh consecutive day that this aircraft has been on the JQ57/JQ58 roster, stabling in Brisbane overnight.

Interestingly it has been late since Saturday 24 November 2018 morning when it took off on JQ57 at 1031 hours instead of what the timetable suggests should be about 0745. However given the long overnight layover, the Sunday and today's delays probably have no connection to Saturday's unpunctuality.

The 0800 hours OOL down to SYD, JQ405 on Monday was in the sky at 0842. A320 VH-VGQ is arriving at 1100, half an hour late.
