Jetstar points

Woohoo finally points came through!!

Exactly 10 days since flight points posted.

On last JQ flight The Mill's SC posted within 4 days BUT Mr The Mill's (on a separate booking) did not.
Step 1. After 4 weeks sent missing points claim via QFF website.
Step 2. No result; after another 4 weeks sent email to QFF - with scanned copies of Mr The Mill's boarding passes which clearly showed he was on Starter Plus fare.
Step 3. Had return email from QFF with request to send copy of itinerary purchased.
Step 4. Points and Status Credits posted three days later.

Patience is a virtue. Also good reminder to have boarding pass copies plus itineraries filed until SC post.

Hi - I have a question.

Before I found this sensational website the wife and I booked tickets from Mel - Hamilton Island in December on Deathstar. We booked the cheapest (starter) fares. I noticed the OP mentioned adding a 'starter pack' to get QFF points / SCs. Is it possible to add this to an existing booking? I had a quick look but couldn't see anything. If it is possible, any idea on the cost?
Mainly interested in the SC earn.

I don't know if you have fixed this up....but a couple of months ago I needed to change a 3K (Jetstar Asia) flight to a different departure/destination point. The only way to do this is with a MAX fare. So I paid to upgrade from the Starter to the MAX on the website, then I was able to ring and change the departure/destination. I'm sure in your situation you can add the bundle by modifying your booking online, or calling the call centre (they were actually very helpful and efficient for me!)...but the call centre may include a fee.

On the points side.....2 recent-ish 3K flights, neither posted automatically for me and I do have my QFF # in my profile with JQ. 1st flight I gave 6 weeks before submitting the email to QF for missing points, 1 day later a QF CS person rang me and told me he had now credited the flight (I thought that was a nice touch to ring me!). The same QF CS rep suggested after 1 week if the points haven't automatically credited to email them with the usual stuff. Its only 2 weeks since the 2nd flight, but the points have yet to credit....however my daughter was on the 2nd flight with me, had her points credit in less than a week. My JQi flights have always credited in a reasonable time (<7days), whereas I have had to chase up some of the 3K flights....very inconsistent.

3K never posts automatically IME have always had to call on a number of flights over the last 2 years - quite rude to take the money for the Starter pack without providing the points without hassle!

Points and bonus points from EpiQure have posted from a purchase made before my JQ flights were even flown... Though I'm only on 6 days at this stage, so I'm not too bothered just yet, but it is slightly disappointing. Doesn't endear me to the group :(

After flying JQ, I always submit a Missing Points Claim as soon as the system allows. As a rule, no problem; the points and SC's credit without undue delay.

I flew JQ last Friday and the SC/points posted on Monday - not a bad turn around time.

Zig, Whats your secret to get them to post. I can never get mine to post. Still waiting on some from a month ago - my last lot took 2 months!!

What I find interesting is that I can have one flight post within days (same booking) but the other (it can be both the inbound or outbound) take up to 8-9 weeks to post...

10 days is very prompt for JQ.

Have waited 8 weeks before, lucky it didn't go towards any status qual/retain needs!

Maybe I have just been lucky ;) This last flight was actually the longest time I have had to wait for points to post, and having read this thread I thought I would be in for a long wait. Usually mine post within 24 - 36 hours.

I did see on the JQ website that they estimate a 6 week time frame for points to post, but I imagine that is just to cover themselves.

If your booking includes a bundle fare which is eligible to earn Qantas Frequent
Flyer points and Status credits, all you have to do is provide your Qantas
Frequent Flyer number and you will receive your points and Status credits within
6 weeks of travel.

For those that have delays, or even receive points promptly, do you have a Jetstar account to speed up entering details or not? I have one, but still waiting on points.

I have only recently set up a Jetstar account. So I think my last flight is the first taken since the account was set up and that was my slowest posting experience. Maybe its related ?

Speeds things up when booking, slows them down posting... how nice of Jetstar to reward frequent customers ;)

Yes, I have an account and its possibly since I set this up that its taken months for them to publish. Maybe that's the problem!!

I set up my account when I booked my recent flights, and the points posted about 10 days later.

I flew on a starter pack with Jetstar Asia from Singapore to Bangkok on Wednesday night (17/10) and when I checked my QFF account the next morning the pts and SCs were added. So, whilst not expected, it was really fast for me this time.

I flew in October, flights didn't post so submitted a missing points claim and waited my 14 business days, still nothing so called Qantas FF today. Their response was that if I emailed them the BP's and provided my QFF number I could have them by tonight... and that flights have been taking up to 2 months to credit on Jetstar!

Bit of a joke really.

Hoping my flights do indeed post by the end of today so I can stop worrying about the 20SC I need for requalifcation, and start focusing on next year.
