Jetstar points

Something else you can do is to email them. They are obliged under their Customer Guarantees to respond within 15 business days and, if they do not, you will receive a $50 voucher. At one time I was stacking up the vouchers as they were so slow to respond but they have improved things recently. That way you should get either points or $50 within 3 weeks.

I flew in October, flights didn't post so submitted a missing points claim and waited my 14 business days, still nothing so called Qantas FF today. Their response was that if I emailed them the BP's and provided my QFF number I could have them by tonight... and that flights have been taking up to 2 months to credit on Jetstar!

Bit of a joke really.

Hoping my flights do indeed post by the end of today so I can stop worrying about the 20SC I need for requalifcation, and start focusing on next year.

It's a bit of a joke that it is taking that long to post again.. for a while it worked well.. My issue is from last month is that i do not have the BP's anymore (JQ35) i may call and ask about it.

The last time this happened to me I replied stating something along the lines of "I'm sure you know that boarding passes are retained by immigration on domestic flights departing from international terminals. As such, please find attached my itinerary clearing showing the Plus fare".

I didn't receive a reply, but the points arrived :)

I might try that tonight..

Its 10 month and 5 call to Qantas 3 to Jetstar. Im still waiting for Qantas and Jetstar to stop point the finger at each other.

Hmm my recent jetstar flights have all credited within 4 days. Lucky, I guess.

No recent issues for me!

I flew MEL-BKK last Thursday and they came through yesterday (six days) so not too long.

Was very glad to see them because it meant I cracked 2,400 SCs for the year and got my 50,000 bonus QF points. Have just booked another JASA in DEC which will earn DSC. Have now got >1,500 SCs booked for my next membership year starting in DEC.

Just had my fight to HBA points did not post. Put in the claim, they arrived within 7 days.

On the other hand I have put in a claim with Velocity for a couple of F flights with Etihad on behalf of my parents. Nothing after their 6 week limit, called Velocity they said they hadn't heard back from Etihad yet, give them a call in another 2 weeks after they resubmit the claim. Note they have copies of boarding passes and itinerary.

3K continues its poor run for me. Last 2 flights I have had to email points request. The first got a personal reply after a week from QF CS...points then credited immediately. The second was emailed 4 weeks ago, and QF CS now tell me I have to wait up to 8 weeks before I can query the request! The last flight....same flight my daughter was on, points credited after 4 days for her...but I have to request the points and wait 8 weeks??!!

Bit disappointing considering my QF FF # is in my Jetstar profile, and it was a MAX fare....plus the old chestnut of "A Qantas Group Airline"

And for my BKK-MEL flight last week, the points posted by Friday afternoon. The quickest ever.

Still haven't received my points, and no reply from Qantas after sending them an email 7 days ago.

I've got a QantasLink flight on Saturday, 4 in fact. I'm pretty confident the points from those flights will arrive in my account well before Jetstar credits theirs... I just hope I'm not still fighting in February when my year ends. Pretty piss poor service so far. This alone doesn't make me want to fly them again... and I do realise my experience on this occasion contrasts sharply with others', but it shouldn't be this inconsistent.

My points for a JQ return flight from the Sunshine Coast - SYD did not post for the return leg. I submitted an online claim and the points did not post after 2 weeks. I then emailed a copy of my boarding pass to [email protected] and the points posted the next day.

That's who I emailed and didn't get more than an automated response.

Perhaps next week, when my QFLink flights have posted within a couple days, I'll send them another email.

I emailed the same address after speaking to the platinum desk. Apparently hey are taking 8 weeks to post which it's a stupid amount of time.. I emailed the itinerary to QFF and the points posted the next day.

I sent a second email yesterday pointing out my frustrations considering 4 QantasLink flights posted on the same day over the past weekend and I'm still waiting for the Jetstar points, which was worrying me. Points were in my account this morning.

I really hope Qantas understands that us frequent flyers can be loyal the low cost brand, but not if they're going to stuff us around. Left with a very bad taste in my mouth on this occasion.

I have been waiting for some points from Jetstar Asia flights taken in late November. I completed the web follow up on the Qantas site with no result and rang Qantas who confirmed that it takes two months unless you send us the boarding passes and then we can do it straight away. What annoys me about this is the acceptance during the call that the process is poor from the person taking the complaint and the fact that I can stay in a Hilton hotel and have the points credited within a week. The call centre operator was very good and diplomatic but at the end of the day could only indirectly blame inefficiency. This must generate a lot of hidden costs both real and intangible, particularly frustration amongst Qantas customers using Jetstar.

3K points from a flight last week posted 2 days after the flight. Happy with that as I was expecting to need to make a claim.

On a side note, this was my first 3K flight, so a few observations. Found staff to be more engaging than JQ, YMMV. Exit row seat was worth the $20 for the HKG-SIN leg at just under 4 hours. A320 seemed new, was in very good condition. Enjoyed access to HKG lounge, which wasn't too busy even with QF30 and 128 pax. Only aspects of 'true LCC' feel were remote boarding at HKG and the meal provided. I was on Starter Plus, so meal and points inclusive. I did intentionally eat up in the lounge as I wasn't expecting much on the plane. I'm still trying to work out what part of the chicken was actually served....

I would consider 3K again for intra-Asia flights, obviously depending on price and lounge access. This fare was only $140 including the exit row seating and plus package.

I too have been waiting since October for a 3K flight points to be credited. In my initial points email request to QF I did send the boarding pass, to no result. The line that with the BP they can credit the points seems to me BS. I have sent further documents 2 weeks ago, but still waiting on the points. Its now been over 3 months since I've taken this flight. My daughter took the same flight with me, her points posted a week after we took it! More than frustrating, it's disappointing because the rest of the JQi/3K service has been excellent IMO!

I almost totally agree with you (the points posting is the exclusion)! Ive always found the JQi/3K cabin crew friendly and helpful. The extra legroom upfront is worth it too. The remote boarding is OK...you get to see a little more of the airside tarmac of the airport :D The cost of the fare is very reasonable too.

Your comment re the food reminds me of a line from 10 Things I Hate About You.... "...everything but the beak and feet" LOL

Hello All,
An addition to this ongoing thread...

My 3K flight points finally got posted after 2 further phone calls. Flight date was 03rd October 2012, points posted 30th Jan 2013...almost 4 months and a lot of effort for 2802 pts and 40 SC's! What was somewhat annoying is my daughter was on the same flight, her points posted automatically within 1 week. Guess because she is a Platinum and I am a lowly Gold is the reason LOL

My recent JQi flight SYD-HKT was actually very pleasant (hard to believe because its Jetstar I know...but it was in Business), flight date 6th March, points posted automatically 8th March. I booked online but without using my Jetstar login. Its only 1 flight (and my experience says bookings from AUS I haven't had any posting issues, only the international departures have had issues), but it is encouraging that the not logging in booking resulted in an excellent posting time for the points from Jetstar. Ill try it again next time I book and fly, and post the results.
