Yeah I read your earlier report. Still, I thought I'd give it a go, happily i got the QF points and SC's which might make it worthwhile for those who are needing either

Thanks for the report. I'm doing SYD-HKT in Starclass in a couple of weeks and this will be my first time on a Jetstar international flight. After reading this and serfty's earlier report I feel I have a good idea of what to expect (which is slightly disappointing...)

Look you get what you pay for. IMHO you get a very good experience, better than PE service for a good price and business SC's and points.

I have a few problems with the TR above. He upgraded at the airport - got a cheap price for what he got and then complained all the way. No window seat? Wow. The comment about the t-shirts smacks, to me, of a snobbery that was never going to be happy.

I have flown *class several times. I do not expect full business class and I have been happy every time. YMMV.

I went in and settled, surrounded by the 'Mums and Dads and Kids' holiday crowd, in shorts and t-shirts!!! Hmm, not my cup of tea!!

When I read comments like these I have to laugh. Mate, u are flying a LCC, what do u expect....or better yet, its not 1976 wear everyone was wearing a suit and tie....lighten up a bit, its 2009.

Personally, I don't have an issue with wearing t-shirts and shorts into a Flounge, I've paid for the ticket, who cares what I wear, also I travel alot with my kids and wife, granted the kids are now 16 and 14, but they have better manners than alot of adults.

Ditto to that...

I would rather be comfortable when flying then dressed up as though I am going to the theatre. Anyhow, wearing some good shoes, Ed Hardy jeans (sorry, but they are a great fit) and a decent high street label t-shirt, my wardrobe probably cost several hundred dollars more than the cheap back lane suits that some wear to try and look good.
;)

im more referring to the singlets and thongs brigade. I think jeans and a t-shirt is ok.

I've flown Sydney - coughet *class and had a really good expience.
Treated like a star. As I say though treat the hosties well and you get it back in spades.
Those TV gizmos are a pain and very heavy.

Travelling should be done in smart casual attire. With comfort in mind.
No matter what class.

The seats are the same as the standard Qantas Domestic Business class Millennium seat; same pitch and all - only covered in leather.

I'm sure most are familiar with them.

I'm 183cm and have decent space between my knees and the seat in front. Taking this into account the Photograph seems to indicate the OP may be over 195 cm.

Cool ...

Well I guess the image was distorted.

With 31" pith on the economy seats my knees sit about 4cm from the seat back. In Millennium seats its about 10cm.

The gap in the 'photo does not look as big as that.

Well that leg room doesn't look enticing at all!
From where I think his bottom is I have the impression the OP has slid forward. Maybe related to the time spent in the QF lounge? :D I am just a touch taller than the OP and had no trouble with the leg room - much the same as domestic QF J.

I arrived home a few hours ago after flying *Class KIX - OOL on JQ20 last night. It was much the same as previous *Class flights. Smiling, attentive crew, reasonably comfortable seats and unlike previous flights, the food was half reasonable. I think it's a reasonable product for the price.

I discovered that Jetstar no longer use the Asuka lounge at KIX. They're using the CX "Pacific lounge". I've never experienced a lounge so small and poorly stocked with food and refreshments:(.
The entire lounge is no more than about 12M x 6M. I counted 24 people in there and it seemed crowded. The only toilets available are the public ones on the concourse outside. Disappointing!

Thats exactly what i thought. For me, i cant see being worth the extra money. Id prefer to save the $$ and be stuck with the cattle, which is where i usually am anyway.

Good to know. Redeems it a little, though looks so old, compared to J on other airlines, though I guess it's actually more like PE.

Yep I am thinking the same thing, too much vodka and pineapple juice and he was slouching/sliding forward in the chair.

I am 176cms tall and have no problems with legroom.

While it is not a real J class product you are not paying a real J class price.

You get what you pay for.

my knees aren't up at the next seat, the legroom is fine, except of course when the person beside you wants to use the bathroom. then it's an issue.

during the flight the guy in front of me reclined and his seatback hit the AVOD unit which was sitting on my tray table which then knocked over my orange juice which poured out over my lap... that was lovely

As I posted:
