I never seem to have an issue with JQ points posting UNLESS I change seats at check in....:)

I've had the CIA change seats (for the better) at check-in without any hassles.

I don't think there is any pattern to it.

JQ are notorious, and it seems to be getting worse.

I flew a few short hops a little while ago (with "bundle"), and I'm still waiting for my points and SCs.

1x Request submitted... It might be time to try the scanned BP route.

Well my 'don't fly JQ unless you have to' approach seems to work :)

I wouldn't be doing it if those JQ SC played a crucial part in attaining or requalifying for WP.

Would be better to plot out your SC earn for the year ahead so you know what you need to achieve then break it down trip by trip so you don't have to run around at the eleventh hour paying more than you should because you didn't allow enough time.

needed 2 'eligible' flights before my year end,as only had 2 for the year (most work J flying for year on much cheaper BA).
Jumped on a cheap Sydney to Avalon same day return, taking 3 y.o. daughter for a joyflight.
First leg posted immediately, still waiting for return to post a month later (claim lodged)

I flew to Newcastle return in May - still don't have the points, even though I put in a claim. One flight I put in the wrong flight number (my mistake - I've resubmitted the claim); the other flight (also a starter plus) was knocked back as an ineligible flight. I talked to the Qantas FF call centre, who said they'd fix it. That was nearly two weeks ago, and still no points.

I also have a Mel-Sin-Hawaii claim mid June, - and no points. Some JAL flights which occurred after my Jetstar trip to HNL have already been credited in full.

In my opinion providing such a poor level of service is a great way for the Qantas group to trash two brands simultaneously - Jetstar (who ask punters to pay extra for points and who then - in my experience at least - make it almost impossible to get them), and Qantas FF, who don't seem to care.

Dead slow is the term I would use.

I've done over 160 return flights with J* (MCY-SYD-MCY) commuting for work......had to use the claim link on QF for more than half the flights.

I use to hang onto the BP until points posted.....at one stage I needed a folder to hold them all!

Yes Jetstar are hopeless with points not posting to your FF account. I am still waiting for my JQ4 Honolulu to Sydney points from early July whereas the JQ3 Sydney to Honolulu posted in 3 days. Same thing happened last year as well.

And yes you pay extra on Jetstar to receive the points and you dont get them. Well not for a long time anyway.

Perhaps to make the process easier, Jetstar should automatically credit the points when you purchase the flight and then they have to submit a claim to the passenger after the flight, for why they shouldn't credit the flight! :p

Pay peanuts to fly, expect monkeys running the admin. You can't have it both ways peeps.

Why write to Mr Joyce? Because often the senior managers never get to hear that the system is not working. The people doing the day to day points queries proably arent going to tell them, and their managers certainly wouldnt (particularly if its done in Singapore). By writing to someone senior, it gives them visibility of a potential problem in their system and a chance that it might get fixed.

Would you not write to the JQ CEO?

Why not start at the top and let them work out the best person to fix it?

For me, points from JQ were usually posted the next day after the flight . The only time this has not happened (and I am stilling waiting for my points and SC) is where I have (involuntarily) changed my flight. I have called the QFF service centre and they have advised me to send in my boarding pass and itinerary and wait as I takes 6-8 weeks for points from JQ to post. The agent even acknowledged that JQ is always slow in posting points.
