This is not so much of a trip report, but I thought I would say a few things.
1- The state of the MH plane (9M-MRJ) today from KUL-PER was a shambles. I was shocked, but the interior looked in worse way than a QF763. There seemed to be a lot of small things that needed replacement but there were a few.
I was a tad iffy with the history of this plane, but it all seemed unfounded!
2-The Shangri La is an amazing hotel. I was very envious of my mate who got to stay there!
3-If staying outside of KL, PJ is a much better option. We stayed at the Grand Dorsett in Subang Jaya. It seems much easier to get around when staying in PJ. FWIW, the Grand Dorsett was the old Sheraton, and currently is an older style hotel. Speaking to staff there, they will renovate it in the near future.
All in all a nice trip to KL, but glad to be home
