I am a traditionalist and believe that parties should travel together in the same class, and that pax should stay in the class in which they were booked - not go 'visiting' other parts of the plane.

I also wonder about the value of travelling en famille in premium cabins as it is probably not a premium experience either for the family or for other pax. Family holidays are a wonderful experience that make memories for life, but they are not luxurious.

Umm son and I did a first to Syd LHR ..2016 husband was coming four weeks later. I suggested he go in business ...he wasn't impressed (he went first lol )
Son has done a few first and business with us. If he wants his children to travel in business ..he can pay lol..his wife will have significant objections lol

No such thing, MissM has been travelling F and J since she was born. She is now going on 16 and for all those who warned me that I was creating a travel monster you are correct.

Oh how true. Mstr Scarlett had a near meltdown when when we walked out of the TG ‘lounge’ in MNL* and he realised we’d be sitting in whY enroute BKK. More so because I’d put Mrs Scarlett in J. He was begging her to swap boarding passes with him!

*genuinely a lounge that is worse than QF HBA.

I did fly with the kids one year on holiday to Vietnam in business class thanks to very cheap OptionTown upgrades. They enjoyed it, but I think they would have enjoyed economy just as much. They were old enough not to be a disturbance to other pax.

Maybe a change to the pj conversation. I've always had the opinion that they should hand out the PJs in the lounge.
Get changed and put your clothes away into the carry on. Get the right size, comfortable in the lounge and straight into the plane.
No messing with bags and packing before take off. No queue for bathroom. More time for pre flight drinks.

Whoa I'm not sure what the freedom is in this case - except, if it is the freedom to be a secondary smoker !! One of my coworkers smoke and their car always smells like they had smoked inside the car with windows rolled up ... I can only imagine how *smokey* the smoking section in the olden days would smell No offence to those that smoke ... would be great if NOT done in a confined space.

I went as Kath Day-Night to a fancy dress party. After trawling through the offerings at many a Salvos I managed to get 2 tracksuits. Neon pink, acid green, purple. Looked absolutely hideous. I kept them both for a couple of weeks before I came to my senses - they were actually weirdly comfortable

Gordon Ramsay does this, I believe. I saw this in a news article. I also remember he mentioned this in a talk show, Graham Norton, perhaps?
