… Now, I've found that in Asia toasted bread is bread that has been exposed to minimal warmth for a period of between 0.5 to 1.0 seconds. Nowhere near enough time for the Maillard reaction to occur. I showed the cook how to do toast the Australian way.
There is no sugar on the list of ingredients for Marmite and it is not remotely sweet.
