Fundamentally different strategy? What else is there that hasn't been tried and failed previously?

All business class (Ozjet): FAIL
Ultra low cost (Tiger): FAIL
Regional only (Bonza): FAIL
Pick up the dregs "value carrier" (Rex): FAIL

My guess; they'll definitely make a small fortune if they put plans into action (to take from the old aviation joke).
I was a bit lost with that statement. I mean, everything has been done before. All segments have been covered.

The only strategy I can think of is a transcontinental airline or a holiday airline like all those euro players that only fly to holiday like places, but Bali has no seats available.

Thought of that too, there might be money on the table for taking, but will be quickly taken off the table by Jetstar and Virgin if they did enter the market, in order to accelerate their demise.

To be fair Bonza did have some possibilities, just they shot themselves repeatedly in the foot.

Koala would be left with the scraps. With scraps comes low yield. Transcontinental would burn the cash quick smart with those long block hours.

Koala would be wise to stay in fictional land.

I guess 737Max aircraft are growing on trees these days....

When I’m in Morocco the last thing I expected to see was a koala in a gumtree - so thank my lucky stars

Very Cosy indeed - im sure Max was really struggling to see through that dense foliage while “farming koalas & 737s in faraway lands”

We could be getting drunk with the stars. Mind you those eucalyptus leaves were tasty ! 😋 Jokes 🤤

I was at the rooftop of the Kosybar just 2 months ago and actually made a comment after i did a double take on the tree!!

If they are using 737 Max they should have called themselves Drop Bear Airlines.

Maybe their USP could be fast landings.

I did a LinkedIn search for some of the names on the site, not all seem to be currently involved.

Was this just another player who was looking at taking the market on when Virgin was going under? And someone has stumbled across the website many years later?

It would be hilarious if that’s the case, given the amount of media coverage it’s received in recent weeks.

I had a look at the way back machine, it’s quite interesting as the website was developed at the same period that Virgin was trying to find a buyer, and they didn’t really update it again, until a few months ago, ie when Bonza when bust.

Good detective work.

Have to say oh no, not again, possibly, Shirley not.

Seems like they are trying to get an investor, but only during periods when an opening in the market appears, ie Virgin, Bonza, and I forgot about Rex, site was updated again in the last month. Obviously it’s a bit easier going to market trying to get funds when a major player goes bust, the only issue is they are continuing to go bust with millions in the red.

Considering the hundreds of millions that Rex and Bonza both burnt running 737s around the place, it’s unlikely that any investor would go anywhere near it.

They don’t appear to have had any luck getting anyone to provide financial support so I really think this is just a nothing airline.

Presumably it's really designed as a money transfer mechanism. Designed to take investors money and transfer it elsewhere.....

A business development activity by those who provide company administration services? Should just about have gone bust by the time Rex administration is wound up? 🤣
