14 stops? What are all the stops? I don't know half the cities.

I wanna do FC ATW next year, honestly have no idea where I want to go alone 😬
It is 14 segments not stops as this is outside of the SQ ATW rules. Total distance must be less than 35K miles and in one direction, you can stop in 7 cities and arriving in 1 city do a surface segment and depart from a second city this counts as 2 stops. Looking at the segments some will be transits. @shane2603 if booked through SIN I am more interested to know how long did it take on the phone with SQ to book this.

LOL 7 hours, Im a travel agent and had to keep correcting and explaining, two seperate calls.
Stops in Goa, Vienna, Zurich, Montreal, destination stop Anchorage.
Straight through on the way home.

Cities are Perth, Singapore, Bombay, Goa, Wawsaw, Vienna, Zurch, Montreal, Vancouver, Anchorage, Los Angeles, Narita, Singapore and Perth.
 
@shane2603 7 hours would does not surprise me, I had to make a couple of calls and get a call back (5 days later) when changing MEL-SIN-LHR-FRA-SIN-ADL (x2 charged in AUD) and FRA-SIN-ADL (x1 charged in EU) to BNE-SIN-YVR-SEA-EWR-SIN-ADL (x2) and EWR-SIN-ADL (x1). The challenge seem to be the re calculation of taxes, additional miles and the fact that we already had the x3 Saver rewards from SIN-ADL, it was a bit of a pain but worked out in the end.

When are you planning to take this ambitious itinerary? I cannot imagine the complexities to come with CV19 restrictions in so many countries. I'm glad you are a Travel Agent, you probably have the knowledge to deal with all the ever changing rules.

I have been researching just a trip to Canada, using some SQ miles, later in the year and have discovered that some provinces, like the Australian States, have different rules for various countries. Prince Edward Island, for instance closed the bridge so even Canadians could not enter for a while. I want to go to Newfoundland but there are differing rules, apparently, if stopping in Montreal on the way.

SYD SQ SIN
SIN NH HND NH LHR
LHR LH FRA LH NUE OS VIE OS INN (there's some long transits involved at FRA and NUE)
INN OS VIE OS YUL AC YQB
YYZ AC YYC
YYC AC SFO
SFO UA SEA SQ SIN SQ SYD

6 stops, 16 segments (including one surface segment), just under 34000 miles. Taxes 1552.40 AUD.

Zero fuel surcharges. Insurance surcharges were:

3 USD for NH SIN/HND
3 USD for NH HND/LHR
50 EUR for LH LHR/FRA
50 EUR for LH FRA/NUE
50 EUR for OS NUE/VIE
50 EUR for OS VIE/INN
50 EUR for OS INN/VIE
195 EUR for OS VIE/YUL
 
I am planning a RTW trip and want to know if this routing is possible:

1. BNE - SIN - JNB
2. JNB - LHR (routing through CAI or ADD)
3. LHR - YVR (possibly AC or UA stopping in ORD/EWR)
4. YVR - SFO/LAX
5. SFO/LAX - SIN - BNE

I would be touching SIN twice once outward and next inward. Is that allowed??

Hi Everyone, Looks like some of you have managed some great itineraries. I am just hoping for some help please. With searching for reward availability for Air Canada how do you know if the flight is available for a reward booking? Do you use AC to search for flight and can it be any flight that can be booked with points or does the flight have to show up on the United site aswell? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I am looking at doing the following:

SYD-YVR-YYC - Air Canada
YYC-YYZ-LIS - Air Canada
LIS-CPH - Tap Portugal
ARN-IST - LOT
IST-SIN -Singapore Air
SIN - SYD - Singapore Air
 
Needs to be available on United as Aeroplan uses dynamic pricing for Air Canada awards (i.e. awards available to their members which aren't available to partners.)
Thank you, I thought that could be the case but was hoping otherwise, haha this is certainly a task finding reward flights.
 
Have you tried BNE-YVR? That route is restarting later this year (July, I think) and I found a business award seat -- but only one, didn't spot two on the dates I checked -- and booked it with VA points. No business YVR-YYC but was able to add that leg in economy.
 
Oh thanks, I hadn’t thought about checking from other Aus airports. I’ll take a look and have a play around with some other route ideas again. It’s just a shame that a return ticket to Europe is pretty much the same points cost as a round the world. Otherwise I would be happy to just to do more seperate trips.

While the *A RTW Award is outstanding points value, remember that unless you really, really, enjoy the flying part that it is the actual "land"(or sea) experiences you enjoy while you are travelling at your destination/s that is the important part. Especially if your time is limited as all those extra flights will soak up time in the plane, at the airport and travelling to and from the airport.

So if your trip its "land" experiences is not to you better, then one could argue that the extra flight value per point is not that important, as your travel experience per point may be better by just exploring a country/region in depth. It will all depend on what you enjoy.

Though of course RTW as an experience is a novelty in itself.

*A RTW is amazing value, but J redemptions via SQ are still great value.

Hi All,

Can someone please help me clarify if award availability showing on a united search for a partner airline in J is bookable, whether it is saver or not. The new format doesn't break it down into a dotted and straight-lines, so I'm unsure which type of flight i could potentially add to an RTW using kris flyer miles.

If the fare class code is a single letter (e.g. I, and not XY or something) and the award flight is on a partner airline, it should be bookable via KrisFlyer. Not 100% guaranteed though as the availability on a KrisFlyer RTW could still be affected by your point of origin, etc.

Perhaps use the Air Canada website to cross-check (assuming the operating airline is not AC).
