Sadly I am unable to attend now. Work has popped its head up and it is an away trip I can't miss Thankfully my flex tickets have already been repurposed into a holiday later in the year.
I hope that trip is a blast and I look forward to making it to the next one.

I've booked the last JHB-KUL MH flight of the night on Sat 08 Jun arriving into KUL at 8:00pm and obviously too late for dinner.

Flirting with the idea of staying at Holiday Inn Glenmarie for the night for the Accelerator promotion. Will need to see how easy it is to get to Shah Alam at that tine of night.

The SIN-KUL border crossing will be an interesting experience.

I have done this in both directions. The passport control is not so bad, it's getting back on a bus to continue the journey that is the pain.

It won't be great that that time of day!

So expect long processing times and be happy if you manage to avoid them. The Woodlands and CIQ checkpoints are not like SIN or KUL airports, I'm afraid!

If on the Transtar bus from Changi, they tend to let the already ticketed pax from Changi board the bus first after the Woodlands procedures. Remember you need to take all your belongings with you. But at least you'll get a seat. Then they let anyone with a valid Transtar ticket on. So the bus will likely become packed for the actual crossing part. Buses at least get priority lanes. Hopefully the lines at the JB CIQ will not be too long.

Alternatively there are private cars and shared taxis available which means you can stay in the vehicle.

JHB airport is actually modern and quite comfortable. It will probably be pretty quiet. And it's a pretty quick process with MH if you are in J or have OW status.

Arriving kul 12.05, departing to sin 619 @ 14.20 before flying back to London @23.15 on BA.

When we caught up at the OT in MEL this year you asked ”have we met before, I think I know you”. My response - not sure, maybe in a lounge, on a flight etc. I am also on MH619

I arrive around 9:00am into SIN and depart after 7:00pm from JHB. I was thinking of visiting casino for a few hours but may give that a miss this time.

I was thinking of transferring from Kranji MRT to JB Sentral and the Senai Airport Shuttle from JB Sentral to JHB airport. I'm in MH business class for the same price as 3K/Air Asia economy from SIN.

Welcome - for optimum crawling you'd need to be at KUL airside from around 11am on Sunday 9th June to fly oneworld back to SIN in the afternoon.

Without (presumably) any onward flight from SIN that evening, I doubt you'd be able to access any oneworld lounges after arriving into SIN.

I have taken the plunge and decided to come along. I need to be in kl on Monday - but will head down on Sunday morning to start the crawl. I am coming back to Singapore on mh619 and heading back to kl on mh610 departing 915pm.

I am a qf wp and also have priority pass unlimited with 1 guest (though imagine those lounges will be Low on the priority list!)

And, booking late, business class was cheaper than economy!

I see that QF36 on the 9th is showing P1 ... maybe an opportunity for some (not for me; I sleep as well on a Skybed as I do in a QF First suite)
