Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

I got a letter about 6-8 weeks after hitting the mark. No card as they only send it when you actually need it I.E. when you are lower than Plat.

Same here, but underwhelming, then again the handcuffs being removed did compensate for the lack of festivities with SCs not important as they have been.

JohnK have you heard anything from QF since getting LTG? eg letter, new card or anything?

I have not received new card. Vaguely remember seeing a letter congratulating me on Lifetime Gold.

Need to check when I am back I Sydney on weekend.

IMO they're more likely to raise the bar for LTG than to introduce LTP.

Sitting here 5,300 away from LTG... with no travel planned at all, let alone DONE4, JASAs.... and 14,000 is looking very far away.
Just need a job... with travel

1400 SC's short of LTG, and about the same short of "Additional WP Benefits" so 31st October is my goal, and hoping for some creative routing to DXB & FRA, I should be right...

Fitting that todays flight SYD-BNE got me over the mark. I am now on 14,005 lifetime SCs even though it will take a few weeks for the SCs to credit to account.

When I first joined AFF I calculated that it was going to a take long time to get to Lifetime Silver and almost impossible to get to Lifetime Gold. I am really surprised that time has arrived so soon. It has been a ball.

I wish there was Lifetime Platinum as that would have been a good goal to try and achieve.

No plans to move away from QFF. Although I will try and credit some flights to VA to maintain VA Gold for another year.

Extremely impressive. Still 3,780 SCs away for me and now I've dropped to Silver I really could have done with the Lifetime Gold :)

Still 5 years away for me after starting so fast in the first few years :(

JohnK do you know how many miles you flew on oneworld metal to get there?

I wish I knew. Number of miles wouldn't be that high as most SCs are earned on short haul flights with some SCs earned on medium haul flights.

Finally reached LTG today!

I started flying QF after the demise of Ansett back in 2001?. So that's about 13 years of flying.

My only hope now is for QF to live as long as I will... another 50 years with any luck! ;-)

Great milestone to reach. Hope to be there myself one day.

Congratulations - that's a pretty good rate of earning for 13 years ...
